I don't live in new york now, but when I visited i did see the padlock and a notice.

Last time I was there, 2 and a half years ago, the squatters were saying that the city was going to grant them historical landmark status, but they may have been full of it.

hehe - probably full of it. I think 75 Greene already has landmark status being a cast-iron loft building in the SoHo Historic District.

Too bad either way.

I walk by 75 Greene almost daily and hope to find the padlock removed.

Do you know anything about the status of the space or whether the owner plans to pay the fines and/or bring the building to code?
