  • this is giant stuff... some fans of the 3 first Journey albums can t smell those albums with Perry... I like both era ...75 to 77 and then 78 to 80 .... even if the AOR sound is more present... it remains a real 70s touch... but for me from 81 and more... they became even more middle of the road and popular... it was too further for my basically 70s tastes...

Before Twisted Sister, before poison, before everything... their style can't be bracketed as pop, rock, metal, or classic style rock... in time I think they may be remembered as the American Beatles of the 80's [but then again, i think The Zombies were better than the beatles]

  • Steve Perry is portuguese descendent mother and father (immigrants), he is the first of his portuguese family born in America, and he speaks portuguese as well like me. Hope one day he records something in portuguese.

  • I think he has recorded something in Portuguese with Nuno Bettencourt who is Portuguese too. (I think that is his name) He was in the group with Gary Cherone....I can't think of their name??? I don't think whatever he and Steve recorded was put out or it may be on solo work done by Bettencourt....
