thank you sooo much for finding video's of lenny playing the white model A Hammond live at his club ! I met lenny several times and seen his show in person ,he spent 1/2 hour talking with me ! I have every album lenny ever recorded and have designed my own Hammond B3 as close as possible to his !
It comes off the preamp, then into a echo unit ,then out to the phono jack by the expression pedal on a B3! It comes thru my Leslie 122 and a PR-40 speakers ! Mine also comes thru top manual only or thru all manuals and pedals ! I use a Digitech X-series digital Delay, model XDD ! hope this helps !! flyingfingersmark !
I had an X66 with the same tape delay Lenny used. You have to have a two head tape machine, one head with record, one playback. The speed of the tape determines the echo you get. The technician has to run a feed from the preamp of the organ to the input of the tape machine.
However today, with the very inexpensive echo and ambiance devices you can achieve the same results.

I am wondering where in the loop do you put the tape delay? Does it go between the organ and the Leslie or where exactlY???
Thanks!
