@fearosius you are wrong:) thtz what i thought in the beggining but wen i played clear sky u ate scar the guy that killed fang but you then wanna kill strelok next to the reactor and you die in the emission. Strelok is then brainwashed by c-con and was probably suppose to turn into monolith, he know has a mission to kill himself (kill strelok) because of c-con error tht dnt know tht u are strelok. Ur death truck crashes but scar died in the emission so its some other guy tht finds you, i wonder

for any of you who don't know were this game came from go watch the movie "Stalker" that was made back in 1979 by Andrey Tarkovsky, based of a book called "Roadside Picnic", some of the most important elements of the movie were adopted by the game developers of Stalker: shadow of the Chernobyl. Its a must see.

Although I could be wrong, I think the thin guy with the Vintar on his back that found you killed your friend Fang (In-game). Once you recover Streloks USB drive, you can view a message talked between him and Ghost and how Fang died. Apparently, some guy with a Vintar got him from 100m away. It would be pretty ironic if the thin guy DID as he would be saving your ass, but killing one of your best mates.

well to me the graphics are part of the atmosphere, and the atmosphere is awesome. Its not just the graphics. If you people are just worried about graphics, I'll have you know its the sound, the gameplay, just everything as a whole that makes this game great. Actually the graphics do look pretty awesome anyway. Plus there are mods for the fussy gamers who dont like the defualt max graphics. I think its worth to play the way it already looks.
