Beautifully done. Their silent relationship is upstaged by the other two. I love the first hint of their relationship in the movie. The look he gives as she climbs up the falls.
Okay, so I have a question. I just saw this movie like, yesterday, nad there are some clips I don't recognize (like Uncas and alice standing in front of the waterfall with him holding her...). Did i just not pay enough attention, or did the director's cut get some scenes taken out??? Great video by the way!
@seijiandsono dunno how u can missed dat part lol.. did u watch it online or dvd??? cuz i seen da movies like 8times or more n i always seen da part where uncas holding her... dunno if anyone else's experience da same problem u have.. im gonna watch da movie again jux to be sure ok
@seijiandsono The scene at you are asking about (@0:50) in front of the waterfall is not Alice and Uncas, it is of what's his name and what's her name (LOL!!). There is a brief scene, which is very dark (@1:33), of Uncas holding Alice, but most of that scene was cut. In the script she pulls him to her and kisses him....but in the movie, it just cuts to the scene when the soldiers find them in the cave. The directors were focusing on Hawkeye and Cora.....fools!!!
@TanyanikaZ on the scene where you say Alice pulls Uncas to her and kisses him is that before he went over and jumped into the water right before Nathaniel (Hawkeye ) ? I dont why most of that got cut out of the scene . That would have been great to see .
@phonelady61 Yes, that is the scene, when they are hiding in the cave behind the waterfall. That is when Hawkeye tells Cora that her father died, & then they show Alice walking toward the waterfall, & Uncas pulls her to him, as if to save her from falling. I read a script online that says that they kiss, and we all know they spent the night in the cave, so let your imagination go wild!!
@phonelady61 I think the scene was cut for time, but probably it would have taken the focus away from Hawkeye and Cora. They should have left it in because it would have explained the reason she jumps in the end, not to mention it would have been enjoyed by millions of viewers. The first time I saw this in 1992, I hated the cliff scene, but was just glad it wasn't H&C. Now I feel the opposite, wish it ended differently with Uncas saving his Alice!
i love this couple. If only they would show the extended version of that waterfall scene that was cut for time. Much more interesting than hawkeye and cora.

@bostonbluemoon SHE IS.. although Im finding Piratesse the most sensitive person in "da subject" (eg her "Tell me") Kira is the most accurate into the subject of the couple(see "Tears of an angel") and the most skilled in her job.(Thank U Kira. Im a big fun of cats too but Eric loves dogs...for some reasons ha, ha, ha;))) I adore them both as I love people ifluenced by this special movie and archetipe couple characters. All the best for U guys...

@bostonbluemoon I borrowed it and it was the Director's cut dvd. That's also the version I own. But I did notice new things when I re-watched it. ^^
