It's no secret that Behringer rips off many of its products from its comptetitors. The latest example of this I've seen is their "Vintage Time Machine" delay pedal, which is a blatant ripoff of the Electro-Harmonix Memory Man.
The problem with Behringer is that they put out products which are utterly lacking in originality and character. They don't create anything, they just blatantly rip off other companies' designs and ideas, never improving on them, and sometimes making them worse. No one buys Behringer gear because it's great, they buy it because it's cheap. Behringer is the pinnacle of mediocrity.
This might well be a bit of a 'propaganda' video but, like others writing here, I own bits and pieces by Behringer which are really good items for a straightforward home studio. I can completely recommend the T-47 Tube Mic which I have been using to record acoustic guitar and vocals. It has a distinctive and pure sound which was better than what I expected for the price. Very good for voice over work too.
My Behringer power amps (I own 4) are all still working perfectly 5+ years running. My Behringer Keyboard Amp (900KX) is a work horse and has seen many a gig with no problems to report (Roland's are a little more powerful, but the sound is just as good), I have a 12 ch.Euromixer for small club/bar gigs oand small 5 ch. Xenyx mixer I use for my keys. All my Behringer stuff is great quality and has never failed. My only problem is with those Behringer plastic effects pedals, they break too easy.
DDM4000 is superb! The only negative I found in this mixer was a headphones jack - it is located in quite a bad place, especially when my headphones cable is originally going from the left phone. I wish Behringer did not start to copy Allen&Heath' Xone mixers in their NOX model line, and instead worked out DDM4000 - which is quite unique.
This video was so obviously produced under contract for behringer, if you notice; he hardly says any negative comments about behringer in the entire video. They must have found some broke magazine, and just paid them to make a 'video' of the factory, where, just by coincidence uri behringer happened to be there that day, and everything is perfect. I thought the pro audio industry was immune to this type of propaganda... my mistake.
Through the years I have owned 2 normal Behringer mixers and a line mixer for keyboards, they were all great quality products, never failed me. They served me well until I sold them to fund some instruments. I would recommend Behringer any day. Affordable and reliable, and that is no shit.
DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYONE WHO KNOCKS BEHRINGER CAUSE IT'S INEXPENSIVE! top quality gear and being a german company you're more or less guaranteed top quality.
Whahahahahahahahaha!!! You've got me rofl'ed! Guitar stompboxes? The casing smells like (probably IS) chewing gum (I guess those chinese over there must be chewing constantly) and for example the graphic equalizer: its hard to tell if it's on or off because of the tonesuck.
But if you're willing to compromise, don't give a shit about ethics and stuff, and hardly can afford your daily bread... Behringer or DIY (DIY ftw)
If you're a pro of some wannabe, than get the real stuff.
When dealing with purchasing Behringer amps or powered mixers always remember that they advertise the "Peak" power instead of RMS (root means squared) which basically means they overhype their amps. However if you buy 200 to 300 watts more than you "think" you need then you are all set. I've had nothing but great experiences with Behringer and recently just bought the PMP1680S 1600W (actually not even 1000W) and have been very happy with it.
amazing video. I heard the workers have to sign a contract for like 2 years and behringer feeds and houses them. They dont get paid till end of two years. If they screw up on anything twice in one year they lose the pay. Is this true? very cruel in my eyes but assures quality. Out of 200 pcs of behringer Ive sold maybe 2 units not up to par. I think its middle of the road very decent stuff for someone who cant afford soundcraft. thanks for posting!!!
Vertical integration is where it is at. Behringer even owns the Forests and cut down their own trees for wood for their speakers. This is why they are the best product for the money. If not for companies like this unless you had big money, most of us would still be rockin the Casio.
Don't listen to people out there. Listen to your own ears. I'm not saying Behringer is good or bad. I'm just saying that you need to be your own best judge on what will work for you. Not the hype or shitty reviews in magazines.
@AlphaJunoOne - Mackie and Allen & Heath have been forced to move part of their operations to China in order to compete with companies like Behringer, but at least these companies *care* about the products they're making, unlike Behringer, which mainly pushes out uninspired knockoffs at cut-rate prices.
Well here is my opinion. I have Behringer BA410 cabinet and BX4500H. And so far it has shown his quality in sound and harware. The head can provide so many diferent cool sounds and the cab is so powerfull though... I think that Behringer produces great bass amplifiers. And I'm also going to try out the tube bass head. Behringer is far away from crap. German companies aren't bad although the products are made in china. I think I will represent Behringer on stage.
I have made a living playing music for 35 years and continue to do so. I never even considered looking at Behringer gear until this past summer I played a gig where the soundman had all Behringer PA, powered mixer, speakers, and mics. He was a retired satellite engineer. The first thing I asked him about was why Behringer? He said the signal to noise ratio was better than anything else on the market. he'd compared it to overpriced Mackie. HE SOLD ME! The system was dead quiet and sounded great!
I am not pro on audio recording...but I deal with live stage setup and we had mackie mixer and that mixer was very annoying and noisy and it was not even 2 year old. We went and bought a Behringer eurodesk for less than $400 and it saved our day from being booed lol
Just had 5 days ago another on stage run with Behringer PA speakers powered by a GEM amplifier at full blast...they did send a big crowd home deaf for some time and they still are kicking. I had the eurodesk for 2 years...if it lasts another 2 years I would say it paid itself twice lol
@Vitotesta - It isn't hard to sell gear cheaper and undercut your competitors when you're having it made in a Third World country instead of paying your fellow countrymen a decent living wage. It's also easier if you just rip off your competitors' ideas instead of paying someone to come up with original ones.
I believe not all the mixers and gear is bad. When you mass produce at this level you are bound to have quality control issues. As Behringer has problems, other companies like Mackie have their fair share. I know I personally will not buy another Mackie overpriced product ever. I had major problems with their CR-1604 mixer I bought when they came out, almost all the pots and sliders were defective. Mackie warranty took forever to fix. They would not give me a new one. The mixer went bad again.
Junk made in china. dont be fooled. Behringer stuff isn't designed for professionals. Behringer is for beginners, basement bands that aren't going anywhere, and musicians with wooden ears.
not a bad report but dude your accent is so over the top aussie, it sounds like you belong in a football club or car club, not audio engineering. it's really irritating to listen to your cliched words like "buggered up" "dodgy" and your old skool mentality. Get with the times, Behringer provides accessibility to a world of technology that would be completely out of reach for people on a limited budget.
you ALWAYS get more than what you pay for with Behringer..
Behringer's older MX and UB series mixers are made with great quality and great sound and they still are working in studios today. Just look on eBay.
However Sadly, the new mixers are crappy sounding, have loose knobs and sliders, have weird sounding master out stereo phasing problems, weird sound level pan controls. And the meters are highly inaccurate!!!
However they do make some really neat new products, but be careful with their new mixers.
i had a UB fx mixer..... it was really noisy and one of the 2 pre amps was broken and the effects was awful lol. I have 2 BCF and a BCR midi controllers, great products for the price but the build quality of behringer products is trerrible! 3 of 5 behringer products i have bought rattled! never again will i go down the behringer road, its cheap for a reason. I wouldnt even take a behringer mixer (any model) if it was 4 free lol
I agree with you their effects are lousy,LOL', an old 1990's Art FXR sounds allot better. Yes some UB and MX series mixers were bad sounding, I think the larger their mixesr the worse they sound, except the MX-9000. I have that mixer and it performs and sounds excellent.
Behringer is just right in its market segment, I purchased a BCF/2000, BCR-2000, UMX61, a Pro Audio card and Korg Padkontrol with the cost of a M-audio control surface table, don't even mention a little second hand Mackie, For a beginner's point of view, it`s awesome. Let's face it, cost of production is similar to the other companies, but it is clear that it's aim is to make happy every amateur, and sometimes several pro's too. (Daft Punk). You can't compare Volkswagen market with BMW.
Dude, it's a factory. They build stuff. They connect electronic parts, mount them in little cases, wrap them up and drop them into boxes. If new products are developed, that happens somewhere other than the factory. Once you get to the factory, they just assemble parts made elsewhere.
No soul to it - regardless of manufacturer. It's a place where you work and punch a time clock. The narrator of this piece needs to simply deal with it. I don't think he makes any point at all....
i got a behringer MX3282A mixer for $100 and its old. but everything works so behringer does make strong stuff cause i thrash this board and it will not die.
Berry gear works for its intended purpose. But it WILL break if you push it to its limit. For instance, the EP2500, will blow if you run them in a 4ohm bridge mode. You hit the clip light with the amp running that way and say goodbye. So if the gear is used within reason, it will be fine. Abuse it at all, be ready to buy another one.
Just bought a BCF2000 Control with motorised faders and knobs for my little bedroom studio, and I can't believe that I got it for less than 240 dollars, the quality feel is satisfactory and it works great too. My next piece of gear will probably be the BCR-2000, which can be found for less than 200 dollars, for this price it's amazing what you get really. I can understand that bigger companies are a bit pissed at Behringer, but I'd like to see them come up with something better for the price..
Yes, they are great pieces of equipment. I had bought the BCF for 100$ second hand, and months later, I also bought the BCR for another 100$, and they're a great asset for a home studio. The only complaint I have about the BCF, apart from the loudness of the motors, is not being able to move the faders while they read the track, they're not touch sensitive and can't tell you want to modify the automation, but for 100$, what can you expect?
have a behringer vmx 300 mixer, however this mixer does not have any built effects. Does anyone no of anything of how i can get effects. whether i need a completely new effecter and plug and how to plug it in to the vmx 300? i basically just want effects while still using the behringer vmx 300. please help...
so called experts always knock behringer, it's fashionable to do so cos it makes you sound like a pro, lol. If you make creative music u can get even major-label US album deals using cheap assed gear, i know cos i've done it. dont listen to these so-called 'pros' or you'll waste your prime creative years saving up for 'pro' gear. By the time you finaly get it you wont have anything left inside yourself to record, all the spark will be gone. Just do it and let the creativity flow :)
@dancetech agreed, your gear is only as good as the musician (for a true musician) but then again people like Ke$ha are only as good as the money in their pocket
@Lengsel7 - well i can assure you i have many bits of non behringer equipment some of which cost thousands per item, which just broke for no reason, out of warranty of course. So it can happen even if you spend alot more
@Lengsel7 yep i buy an amplified berhinger and the sound its no good enough, beside it doesnt have distor or delay button, just volume and tone.....im not very happy but its a cheappes one.
Rule # 1 of Behringer gear - never in a recording chain. MIDI controllers, stomp boxes, synth rigs, fine. Just never between a mic and an AD, or between a DA and your ears.
Does noone have a problem buying from a company who reverse-engineers other companies' gear, steals their intellectual property and puts them out of business by making the unit cheaper (but crap)?
Mackie and Roland (BOSS) accused Behringer for design infringement and Behringer won the court.
How could you judge that their products are crap? I've got two Behringer distortion pedals and I think they rock. I possess more expensive bricks as well and they have same good sound quality. Behringer isn't less honest as other huge companies. It's difficult to be honest in the name of $. Don't you think? ;)
I think you probably eat MCDonald's a and/or BurgerKing's 'food' and how could you pay for poisoning you. ;) You are also potential client of Coca Cola and Pepsi companies.
I wonder if they will ever update vamp. It seems so outdated now, with all those new multi-fx with USB out etc. They could make a new vamp with USB and maybe higher sampling rate.
Fascinating vid...now I don't feel so bad about buying Berry gear, with its awesome price-performance ratio. These factory workers don't seem to have it any worse than our fathers, who slaved away manufacturing cars and appliances in noisy, hot, dirty factories. I'll bet out-of-work GM employees wish they could get a Behringer factory in Detroit.
then try the new Mackie mixer. They cost two times the Behringer and they are worth nothing. Bad faders and pots. Awfull sound and they are made in China. Nothing to do with the old good Mackies. I'll stay with Behringer. Better products and less money.
I use some Behringer equipment sometimes (24 chnl console, EQ's, Virtualizers). All works rather well and sounds good. Besides, at 15,000 watts of Crown power, who's going to hear the difference between Behringer and, let's say, Soundcraft or Midas. During a show, I was complemented on how good the band sounded and how well the mix was conducted... from a talent manager! The Behringer board was running FOH. Go figure!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
you have got to have the FUCKING WORST host voice ive ever heard, you make your visit the the behringer factory sound like your going to check out a murder crime scene and like you attitude is so annoying
its true what hrmonkar says, behringer does make some neat products. american street thugs like timbaland, sean john and 50 cent roll out crap after crap productions in their multi-million dollar pro tools studio. while dj yahel from israel has a small pentium computer, a controller, some VA synths and behringer mixer, and turns out really cool stuff. nuff said.
Behringer electronics are quality made, too bad lot of their stuff just don't sound as good as their build quality. On the other hand their prices allow most kids to own a reasonable piece of gear which otherwise they could never afford.
Check out foxrox! they are abit pricey but complete bargin for the quailty you get :) they are handbuilt pedals, ever part inside is top notch :) the Octron pedal is the best Octave pedal ive heard! and the Fuzz/overdrive pedal from foxrox is so cool! just check it out to get an idea of the sound quilaty between cheaper and pricer pedals
I own several behringer equipment and it serves me fine... for its cost. I mean, the gear's value is more than its price. Of course, if you can pay more, you'll have, perhaps, better equipment. It' s up to you... and your wallet.
Behringer have the biggest pallete of products ever, and many of them are as good as those 10 times more expensive.I myself use B2 PRO studio mics along with MIC 100 TUBEGAIN preamplifiers, in almost every studio here in Slowenia you can find MULTIPLE HEADPHONES preamps etc - Behringer thank god we have You
Don't get me wrong. Make music with whatever you got. Music made with love, heart, passion and Behringer gear will always beat corporate crap made in a million-dollar studio.
ummmmmm. no. Hes a recording engineer. Its just that Behringer is crap. Crap components, crap quality, and thats why there stuff is so cheap. Something has to give. I would never buy anything Behringer. Your better off with Radioshack.
i don't get why people keep talking shit about behringer. i bought a 15 watt amp by behringer for just 80$ dollars. it's been 3.5 years since i bought it, and it's still working just fine. the reason so many people break they're equipment so easily is because they don't take care of it, that's not behringer's fault
They copy Mackie and Alesis. It's not Pro Audio. It's not even Great Quality. It's not even really low prices. It's the LOWEST price anywhere. That should say something. As far as trust, I wouldn't trust a company that rips off other manufacturers with every one of their designs. Name 3 designs in Behringer's catalog that are NOT rip offs off other brands.
behringer is not pro audio. it has never been pro audio, and will never be pro audio. they make inexpesive audio gear. most is marginal, some works, a few items are great! but it's VERY far from pro. it's like calling a pinto an F1 racer.
really people, if you think you can pay less and get something good, you're all fooled. i bought a lot of behringer gear at once and 90% of it faulted and some didn't work straight out of the box. few products had to be replaced 3 times in the first 6 months and they're still faulty now. this includes their digital mixing desk, revrb unit, digital rack eq. it's all rubbish. don't waste your time and money like I did.
Thanks for posting this. I have no interest in Behringer gear, but what a cool report. I always try to be as conscience as I can about how the product I buy is being made, under what kind of conditions. This was a very interesting look into that. I personally try to buy the bulk of my gear from the Western countries if it all possible. I'll pay that premium if it's a better product made by someone who's passionate, but I think this showed a fair look into what one company is doing overseas.
A lot of people think Behringer = cheap, therefore it is crap. Wrong. Good and cheap is twice good. I'm not spending 2000 euros on a mixing desk, FFS...
If it works for you, it works for you. But personally until you've experience with a lot of gear its hard to say if somethings good or bad. Difference between behringer and a mackie? its nothing. But A difference between a Toft ATB or Trident 8T and a Mackie is huge and behringer is a joke next to it. Most people buying behringer don't even know what good gear is period.
i wouldn't put mackie and behringer in the same category. behringer reverse engineers mackie products and sells half assed versions of them at half the price. i think behringer is to mackie, what a Squire guitar is to an american Fender guitar (don't flame, I know both are fender. it's just a comparaison)
You missed the point I was making all together. Though I doubt you'll see this. The Difference between behringer and Mackie is tiny next to professional gear. and Pro Audio isn't like guitars. There isn't really that big a gap between the upper end mexi strats and a mid ranger american, Theres a huge difference between professional versus hobbyist. Mackie and Behringers both sound chinese next to any good preamp.
i agree with you that the difference between mackie and behringer is tiny next to professional gear. I also agree on your asessment of upper mexi-strats and mid yank-srat. I also agree that both makers' pres sound chinese next to a real preamp. I do have some. Maybe I should have made the comparaison between mexi-strats, and Squires... probably.
yes, pro audio isn't like quitars, just like tennis isn't like dogs. It's a damn comparaison and is to be judged and taken with as many grains of salt as you like. What I have a problem with is your saying that you doubt I'll see this. What the fuck is that supposed to mean? Than kind of pompous attitude wont help you. Makes you seem like an ignorant gearslut. Think before you type kid. Cheers.

Morne555 2 years ago

Behringer is a horrible, but cheap brand. It is awkward, but reasonable. Unreliable, but accessible. It is like Ying and Yang.

Is Behringer City anywhere near Spatula CIty?

Just bought a BCF2000 Control with motorised faders and knobs for my little bedroom studio, and I can't believe that I got it for less than 240 dollars, the quality feel is satisfactory and it works great too. My next piece of gear will probably be the BCR-2000, which can be found for less than 200 dollars, for this price it's amazing what you get really. I can understand that bigger companies are a bit pissed at Behringer, but I'd like to see them come up with something better for the price..
narki86 2 years ago 3
Yes, they are great pieces of equipment. I had bought the BCF for 100$ second hand, and months later, I also bought the BCR for another 100$, and they're a great asset for a home studio. The only complaint I have about the BCF, apart from the loudness of the motors, is not being able to move the faders while they read the track, they're not touch sensitive and can't tell you want to modify the automation, but for 100$, what can you expect?

so called experts always knock behringer, it's fashionable to do so cos it makes you sound like a pro, lol. Just do it and let the creativity flow :)

true get what you can afford. you can always rent or borrow good gear to show off. I like boss pedals, but might have to pick some of this up
trustusyeahright 2 years ago
@dancetech agreed, your gear is only as good as the musician (for a true musician) but then again people like Ke$ha are only as good as the money in their pocket
MrBrandonPeoples 1 year ago 2
@dancetech No, I knock Behringer because I have spent my hard-earned money on it, and have that way learned it is cheap Chinese crap.
Lengsel7 1 year ago
@Lengsel7 - well i can assure you i have many bits of non behringer equipment some of which cost thousands per item, which just broke for no reason, out of warranty of course. So it can happen even if you spend alot more

@Lengsel7 yep i buy an amplified berhinger and the sound its no good enough, beside it doesnt have distor or delay button, just volume and tone.....im not very happy but its a cheappes one.

Rule # 1 of Behringer gear - never in a recording chain. MIDI controllers, stomp boxes, synth rigs, fine. Just never between a mic and an AD, or between a DA and your ears.
singularaudio 3 years ago
Does noone have a problem buying from a company who reverse-engineers other companies' gear, steals their intellectual property and puts them out of business by making the unit cheaper (but crap)?
wol84 3 years ago
Mackie and Roland (BOSS) accused Behringer for design infringement and Behringer won the court.
How could you judge that their products are crap? I've got two Behringer distortion pedals and I think they rock. I possess more expensive bricks as well and they have same good sound quality. Behringer isn't less honest as other huge companies. It's difficult to be honest in the name of $. Don't you think? ;)
Scumkill2 3 years ago
I think you probably eat MCDonald's a and/or BurgerKing's 'food' and how could you pay for poisoning you. ;) You are also potential client of Coca Cola and Pepsi companies.
Scumkill2 3 years ago
I wonder if they will ever update vamp. It seems so outdated now, with all those new multi-fx with USB out etc. They could make a new vamp with USB and maybe higher sampling rate.
inricheetos 3 years ago
Fascinating vid...now I don't feel so bad about buying Berry gear, with its awesome price-performance ratio. These factory workers don't seem to have it any worse than our fathers, who slaved away manufacturing cars and appliances in noisy, hot, dirty factories. I'll bet out-of-work GM employees wish they could get a Behringer factory in Detroit.

Did I just watch a 10 minute ad for Behringer?
Behringer stuff is ok, if you never plug it in. They should put a warning on their products "Warning: Highly Flammable."
psyleid 3 years ago
then try the new Mackie mixer. They cost two times the Behringer and they are worth nothing. Bad faders and pots. Awfull sound and they are made in China. Nothing to do with the old good Mackies. I'll stay with Behringer. Better products and less money.
giusi856 3 years ago
i agree , expensive brands are also "made in china" anyway , i think other thing can be with guitars but electronics are made mostly with robots

Go figure!

you have got to have the FUCKING WORST host voice ive ever heard, you make your visit the the behringer factory sound like your going to check out a murder crime scene and like you attitude is so annoying

its true what hrmonkar says, behringer does make some neat products. american street thugs like timbaland, sean john and 50 cent roll out crap after crap productions in their multi-million dollar pro tools studio. while dj yahel from israel has a small pentium computer, a controller, some VA synths and behringer mixer, and turns out really cool stuff. nuff said.

What do you think about behringer Euorogrand digital piano series?
maatija 4 years ago
Behringer electronics are quality made, too bad lot of their stuff just don't sound as good as their build quality. On the other hand their prices allow most kids to own a reasonable piece of gear which otherwise they could never afford.
afodis 4 years ago
Check out foxrox! they are abit pricey but complete bargin for the quailty you get :) they are handbuilt pedals, ever part inside is top notch :) the Octron pedal is the best Octave pedal ive heard! and the Fuzz/overdrive pedal from foxrox is so cool! just check it out to get an idea of the sound quilaty between cheaper and pricer pedals

I own several behringer equipment and it serves me fine... for its cost. I mean, the gear's value is more than its price. Of course, if you can pay more, you'll have, perhaps, better equipment. It' s up to you... and your wallet.
elarqui55 4 years ago
Behringer have the biggest pallete of products ever, and many of them are as good as those 10 times more expensive.I myself use B2 PRO studio mics along with MIC 100 TUBEGAIN preamplifiers, in almost every studio here in Slowenia you can find MULTIPLE HEADPHONES preamps etc - Behringer thank god we have You
hrmonkar 4 years ago 2
It is what it is, and you get what you pay for. If you can't hear the difference, then good luck in your audio endeavors. You'll need it.

ummmmmm. no. Hes a recording engineer. Its just that Behringer is crap. Crap components, crap quality, and thats why there stuff is so cheap. Something has to give. I would never buy anything Behringer. Your better off with Radioshack.
PowersofKhan 4 years ago
i don't get why people keep talking shit about behringer. i bought a 15 watt amp by behringer for just 80$ dollars. it's been 3.5 years since i bought it, and it's still working just fine. the reason so many people break they're equipment so easily is because they don't take care of it, that's not behringer's fault
moester101 4 years ago 15
@moester101 yes very true, i remember having a v-amp 2 and pulled it off the table buy accident!, but now im in the market for a bugera 6262
ACLeftyGuitar 6 months ago
They copy Mackie and Alesis. It's not Pro Audio. It's not even Great Quality. It's not even really low prices. It's the LOWEST price anywhere. That should say something. As far as trust, I wouldn't trust a company that rips off other manufacturers with every one of their designs. Name 3 designs in Behringer's catalog that are NOT rip offs off other brands.

behringer is not pro audio. it has never been pro audio, and will never be pro audio. they make inexpesive audio gear. most is marginal, some works, a few items are great! but it's VERY far from pro. it's like calling a pinto an F1 racer.
rrraaalllfff 4 years ago 2
really people, if you think you can pay less and get something good, you're all fooled. i bought a lot of behringer gear at once and 90% of it faulted and some didn't work straight out of the box. few products had to be replaced 3 times in the first 6 months and they're still faulty now. this includes their digital mixing desk, revrb unit, digital rack eq. it's all rubbish. don't waste your time and money like I did.

great report... so that's how they make it... seriously, i expected it to be like that, unfortunately :(
noooly 4 years ago
Thanks for posting this. I have no interest in Behringer gear, but what a cool report. I always try to be as conscience as I can about how the product I buy is being made, under what kind of conditions. This was a very interesting look into that. I personally try to buy the bulk of my gear from the Western countries if it all possible. I'll pay that premium if it's a better product made by someone who's passionate, but I think this showed a fair look into what one company is doing overseas.

If it works for you, it works for you. But personally until you've experience with a lot of gear its hard to say if somethings good or bad. Difference between behringer and a mackie? its nothing. But A difference between a Toft ATB or Trident 8T and a Mackie is huge and behringer is a joke next to it. Most people buying behringer don't even know what good gear is period.
nanashiwanderer 4 years ago
i wouldn't put mackie and behringer in the same category. behringer reverse engineers mackie products and sells half assed versions of them at half the price. i think behringer is to mackie, what a Squire guitar is to an american Fender guitar (don't flame, I know both are fender. it's just a comparaison)
rrraaalllfff 4 years ago
You missed the point I was making all together. Though I doubt you'll see this. The Difference between behringer and Mackie is tiny next to professional gear. and Pro Audio isn't like guitars. There isn't really that big a gap between the upper end mexi strats and a mid ranger american, Theres a huge difference between professional versus hobbyist. Mackie and Behringers both sound chinese next to any good preamp.
nanashiwanderer 4 years ago
i agree with you that the difference between mackie and behringer is tiny next to professional gear. I also agree on your asessment of upper mexi-strats and mid yank-srat. I also agree that both makers' pres sound chinese next to a real preamp. I do have some. Maybe I should have made the comparaison between mexi-strats, and Squires... probably.
rrraaalllfff 4 years ago
Part 2 of my reply:
yes, pro audio isn't like quitars, just like tennis isn't like dogs. Cheers.
