This is nowhere near as good as the second series. Breaking up his act with short sketches (which are not very funny at all) really ruins his momentum and what is great about his act; the way he builds a long story.
Born Again Era couldn't last!!!! I'd never expect that mentioned by Stew, along with just also now seeing Hugh Laurie mentioning Arceus on House (I don't really watch it) have REALLY MADE MY DAY TO A NEW LEVEL!
I have to say, I really like Stewart Lee, but four episodes in and the whole "repetition" joke that he does is really getting old.
Out of a 20 minute set (the rest being taken up by the sketches), a good 5 minutes of that is just him repeating two or three phrases over and over and over.
@comanchio1976 How can you not like Miles Jupp? Genuinely one of the funniest comedians to come out in a long while. Jim Duggan in the Thick Of It was one of the greatest characters in the whole series
@MuninRaven That's true, they are basically opposite ends of the spectrum, and both brilliant at what they do. Yet sometimes Stewart Lee will actually tell a joke, and Tim Vine can get 5 minutes of material out of just repeatedly throwing a pen at his face. They both have a complete mastery of comedy and can adapt to all different styles.

Ah I really wish Kevin Eldon was a massive millionaire for all his UK work. He deserves it more than most and he'd still be awesome.

does anybody know if Stewart usually brings his tour to Ireland? Will carpet remnant world be brought to Ireland at all?

@rpooney
Saw him in Galway about 2 years back, hopefully he'll be around again soon. Check his site for tour dates would be the best bet.

@LostinHeroes43 That's the first time I've seen him and not wanted to kill him. He's much less annoying with a tube up his arse, for some reason.

@PeteLewis1917 Ah no, I'm speaking purely from the point of view of a parent of a young child, having had to sit through Balamory endlessly.
Will check out his comedy stuff, thanks.

Lovely to see Stewart Lee endorse Tim Vine. Their material and comic styles couldn't be more different.
