  • Every launch video I see of this car is like half a second with very easy start and then it starts spinning.. Is it because of that gay valve on the clutch? I think you could get faster 0-60 if this is removed.. I had a BMW 2002 320 with 170hp but i hated that clutch.. I think the reason for the reduction valve is so woman can make a easy start, lol :)

  • 0-60 in 5.2 and thats an automatic, try like 4.8 with a manual and a good driver.

  • this car ois the thinking mans m3. The m3 is over $50,000 AUD more than the 335i and its only afew MILLISECONDS faster.

  • you realise that the 335i now has the 7 speed BMW DSG equivalent gearbox (also called DCT or something) which is the double clutch gearbox and gets this car from 0-60mph (0-100kmh) in just 4.9 secs. THATS ONLY 0.1 SECOND SLOWER THAN THE M3!!!!!!! 50,000AUD isnt really worth it anymore.

  • do u know how fast the M3 is? have u checked the bmw website lately? this car was tested with the old gearbox. now this car has the same gearbox as the M3 which gets the 0-60mph time under 5.0 secs. M3 is only like 4.7secs. its pretty close.

  • My friend has this car and I got an 06 C350 and this car is amazing (kills my car everytime). Even though I'm a big merc fan this car I have to admin it one crazy SOB. This car is also underrated. On paper its 300 HP but people have dynoed it and it comes close to 330 HP.

  • 335i, best combination of comfort/luxury, performance and prestige. But if youre on a budget...the 370z

  • go test drive them all, then decide. I'm pretty sure you'll be impressed with the 335i. Forget about the Z though, it's small on the inside; very cramped & is a gas guzzler (my sister owns one).

  • BMW 335i's performance is unbeatable by the other two. Considering not just performance, but also reputation, fuel efficiency, and cost.....BMW!

  • 335i actually have amazing miles per gallon, I drove from NY to Miami for 2 days and ran about 350 miles before having to refuel. I would totally pick a vishnu modded 335i coupe over a M3 in terms of value and gas efficiency. It's so hard to find M3's under 70k with its dealership marked up price, and its gas efficiency for everyday driving is crap.

  • Audi S5 did poor in Motorweek test. Sluggish brakes, eat rotors like most Audi quats.

    It did have a decent rear seat, unlike the 650i, which is a sloppy BMW.

    The 135i was quick, next was 335i coupe and Z4 was about same as 335i sedan which I thought would be a quick as coupe.

    The 135i is a torque monster, still not an autobaun car, its tiny wheelbase is highway dodgy. Pay extra $5k if you like top end 335i.

  • nearly 20 years have passed and in a straight line this car is no quicker than a z32 fairlady (300zx) im not impressed. and instead of a 95 m3 get a 240sx for half the price. according to reviews the s14 chassis is just as much fun as the m3s of those years.

  • i have actually. i still like the s14 better. its as much fun as that and its potentially much faster. i also drove the e46. ironically i have not driven the e36 which is the one the reviews are on. the e46 is a brilliant handler and a blast on a mountain road but on a downhill stretch a s14 will beat it. and thats a fact. that extra 600 pounds start to take a toll on the tires near the end of the run and it falls off the pace.

  • im just saying. hey a well built z32s can turn quite nicely, after all it was fully race prepped z32s that were ruling imsa in the early nineties. this is a great car but i think bmw slowed down on their innovation department you know what i mean? personally i like turns better too thats why i got my 240sx. and i mean pulling high gs not being a drift monkey but thats fun too. i am expecting better since the g37 coupe is a better buy than this. faster, cheaper, more aggressive.

  • I had a '88 3 series; didn't have any problems with it, it was a very gooooooooood car.

  • now theres a well balanced car. you get pretty good performance, awesome handling (just look at the slalom speed or braking distance), and you dont have to sacrifice any comfort or convenience. way to go bmw, this is exactly why you make the best cars. and to justincrap: i agree, the rs4 is way too quiet, especially compared to the m3.

  • agreed i love those halo headlights and the 3-stripe taillights. theres some really clean lip kits out for this car too, i think bmw even sells their own.

    And while the s65 in this new m3 climbs up the tacho very high, it still is not a roaring engine sound wise compared to BOTH c64 and s5/rs4.

  • i hate myself every time i see a bmw review after learning how much they cost where i currently live. without taxes or anything, they cost twice as much as they do in the US.

    an M3 is more expensive than a 997 turbo here....sad.

  • the m3 is actually one of the worst sounding v8s...if you're getting the car for sound, you should opt for c63 or s5/rs4. but once again, if you're a performance guy, get the m3. but 335i will suffice for most, to be honest.

    yep, M3 is the best out of the three between the RS4 and C63. top gear did a comparison test and the M3 came out on top.

  • lol, none of them won! theyre way too different, the rs4 is the classy but very quick sedan, the m3 was the track oriented sports car, and the c63 is a mercedes sedan with a mercedes engine in it (the worlds most powerful naturally aspirated v8 to be exact, it growls!).

  • The M3 always comes out on top and always will until Audi gets rid of front heavy understeering design and AMG loses weight and the automatic gearbox.
