  • Where's this grate Cathedral?

  • Just, love that piece.

  • Koopman = ein Genie der Bach-Interpretationen;

    Alles nahezu, was er in Szene setzt klingt wie Bach es sich sicherlich vorstellte;

in seiner Zeit wäre Koopman ebenso anerkannt gewesen.

  • play ode to joy on this organ

  • So beautiful. Thank you for all your wonderful presentations. You have the gratitude of this Bach afficionada. --{--@

  • My heart aches to hear this.

  • diese Orgel ist ein Traum... der organist ist super, was will man mehr!

  • Thanks to Ton and to Gottfried Silbermann and to Freiberg Cathedral, thank you very much

  • Beautiful - thanks for sharing. Lance ♫♪♫

  • I doubt this playing could be bettered - thank you so much

  • Koopman needs no comments or critique for anyone. Wonderful! Notice his fingering, and phrasing. Skilled!

  • The Great Silbermann Organ (1714) in Freiberg Cathedral. GOTTFRIED

SILBERMANN --Honorary Court and State, Organ Builder to the

King of Poland and Duke of Saxony. Gottfried Silbermann (1683-1753) and Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) were contemporaries and are known to have worked together as colleagues and friends. baroquemusic org silfrei html

  • Ugh, it's just too beautiful! And props to the uploader, the sound quality is great on this vid. And the organ he's using is perfect for this piece!

  • wonderfull!! I love this music and sound

  • What church is this?

  • @Musicoholist Weingarten Abbey I'm pretty sure

  • @ubernate860 Nope definetely not!!

  • @OrganPianoMusic well if ur gonna shoot down the only suggestive answer anyones gotten, why don't you tell us which one it is

  • @ubernate860 That sure is the Silbermann organ in Freiberg, Saxony, Germany.

  • It needs to be this fast. Because otherwise it be to boring and unlike how Bach played it. This is more true to the composer actually.

  • Das ist schön!

  • I like to see this pictures and so wonderfully played.

  • Koopman and this organ are both typically and beautifull in performance.

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow

  • which organ??

  • @12345qazx1, organ built by Gottfried Silbermann, Freiberg dom.

  • soli koopman organum

  • Ich kenne keinen besseren Spieler für diese Bearbeitung, einfach genial.

Das Sahnehäubchen sind die Triller - wunderbar.

    Danke! Ton Koopman

  • @orgelmi Das stimmt allerdings.

  • Felix Mendelsohn said that if life robbed him of every hope and belief, hearing this piece would restore all of it in an instant.

  • @requiemaeturnum Das ist so !

  • Wunderbar gefühl.

  • Fantastic biblical organ piece by J.S. Bach and wonderful played by Ton Koopman.

  • @joffryvangrondelle : Yes. I ´twill be wonderful to meet up with Luther und Bach im Himmel

  • @3NUNS I am not talking about those popes. Luther published an anti-semitic pamphlet "About the Jews and their lies", furthermore, he caused a religious war of 30 years which cost Germany half of its population... He destroyed unity of the church, of a country and a whole continent and is now burning in hell for this.

  • @2lipsonmy0rgan : I shall have to check out your asservations and get back to you !

  • @2lipsonmy0rgan : But the Jews have rejected the Lord Jesus Christ

  • The Jews tend to be stupid as well as arrogant. The only musical peice of music remotely Jewish in flavour I like is the Air for Priest Father of Heaven played apparatly seperatly from Judas Maccaebeus as a single Hannuka celebration. Sung by either Counte Tenor or Soprano.

  • designed so that the Jews allocate the state from within to their own ends and to play off states from without against each other. Just as the English conquered India, so do the Jews through multiculturalism conquer the West.

  • @3NUNS By the way: Bach indeed is in heaven.

  • @2lipsonmy0rgan : I think we should speak like men rather than popes !

  • @2lipsonmy0rgan Tell him I said Hi. : )

  • @joffryvangrondelle : Good Comment ! This is a faster version than another of Ton´s.

  • @joffryvangrondelle I'm curious, what is the topic of the text, or Biblical story?

  • Thank You

  • Oh my...Brilliant. Such feeling and a great recording.
