They are forced to look at Diana each and every day......cause Prince William looks just like his momma!! HA!! And that is a real compliment William! RIP Princess Diana....The Peoples Princess.....♥♥♥
Don't mean to offend but even if you're royalty you should always wear your seatbelt and she should of known better, in fact she was stupid not to strap up in a high speed chase so it's hard to sympathise, yes it was tragic and should not of happened but the only person to blame for her actual death is the princess herself.
this was the most shocking news story i ever watched. To this day it still hits me.I've heard all the negativity towards her. Yes Diana was rich and well above the rest of us, but my instinct told me there was something good about her. Yes millions of people die around the world and some people say what's so different about this case? Well what's different is that for those of us who liked her she exuded an elegance that other women couldn't never attain. I hope one day we learn the truth.
Who decides which welsh guards and military are pall bearers at a royals funeral? Does anyone know? I am real curious. It must be such an honor to have been a pall bearer at her funeral. I am saddened by Dianas death and to this day I can't believe that such an eloquent lady is gone. I blame the papparazzi. They should be in jail.
Although I am from the United States, Diana had always personally touched my heart. She showed profound love and compassion to those less fortunate everywhere she traveled. After all these years, she is still missed by many of us in America.
Prince Charles escorted her home! What a blazing hypocrite. I wish the residents of the Uk would take out the so called royal family and make them leave all of the things belonging to royalty back. What Hyprocrisy
@VictoriaGreyh If he didn't escort her home, the royal family would have been persecuted. And you're persecuting him for doing so! He's the father of her children and even if they split didn't mean he didn't care for her. You should watch the movie The Queen with Helen Mirren. I feel sorry for the royals that they got attacked for something that was ultimately the media's fault.
recuerdo esta imagen como ayer, lo vi como a las 2.30 pm hora venezolana, esa imagen se trasmitio en todos los canales, que consternación, primera vez que veo al Principe Carlos con sentimientos genuinos...,
I remember that news guy at the beginning coming in the middle of Saturday Night Live and we did not know what to think.. i was young/naive then but i could tell it wasnt good my parents are british i am american
Well, it was suppose to be Martyn Lewis to do it, but he fell into tears during the Tony Blair's statement about the Princess of Wales. So he gave up. Peter Sissons is the newsreader throught out this day's broadcast for the BBC regarding The Princess Diana's death.
Martyn Lewis had done the breaking news segment at closedown around 2am, then been back in to do 6.30am-lunchtime, so I thought tiredness may have been the reason he didn't do anymore work that day.
This is just rubbish. Martyn Lewis had already been on continually from 6.30am to 1.00pm before Peter Sissons took over for the rest of the day. He didn't exactly "give up". It would have been slightly oppressive to make someone read the news for 16 hours straight.
Thank you for posting this. We were unable to see or videotape most of the coverage, although we did see part of the funeral. We always feel that we missed out and did not get to say proper goodbyes.
BBC Parliment repeated the funeral last year I think on the 6 Sepember 2007. They showed the whole funeral and the car going the her family home. I watched the whole funeral.
I was glued the telivison the whole week of Diana's untimely death. From the moment the story broke in Paris to the burial at Althorp(her ancestoral home) It was a very emotional week. Very emotionally draining. Everything was done the way Diana would have wanted. It was simple and unique tribute to the simple and unique woman. Diana did not need a grand style exit and funeral. That was not the Diana Style. Rest In Peace, Diana.

Sun, moon, and stars forgot, upwards I fly,
Still all my song shall be, nearer, my God, to Thee,

@davidchipping That's what I immediately thought, but it's not the first time Peter Sissons has made that mistake.

Didnt need a grand style exit and funeral? I would call shutting down the whole country and having a service in Westminster Abbey quite an exit.
