the ruling is that you should try not to make any unnecesary movements, there is no limit. so if you have scratched 3 times and you need to do once again you can, but in sha Allah you will have reward if u try not to. And what is better than that is try not to see other peoples faults and shortcomings. may Allah give us a better understanding amin

hello mr. superpricil! so far as Islam is concerned it has nothing to do with idolatory. and the black stone in kaba is sent from Heaven and can not profit or harm us. this is what we (muslims) believe. and there is only one God of Abraham and Moses and Jesus and Muhammad and he has 99 names and one of them is Allah. if any muslim is wrong in his dealings then we cannot blame Islam. Have u ever blamed Christianity for the acts of any christian???

I don't hate Muslims as person .

But Islam is a mess organization . why? simple ! We saw on muslims countries last years and now too, starting from tunisia till to yemen and now Syria before they pray Allah towards direction of balck stone ( Idolatry) than they say Allah Akbar take the stone and the gun and kill one another.

This is Allah will it is ok ! But please it has nothing to do with Moses , Abraham , and Jesus they had another God called (real name) Yehowah.

@SuperPricil black stone is direction for us nothing else .. it was built by prophet abraham (a.s) and ismaeel (a.s) . moses , jesus  noah joseph (a.s) they all were prophets sent by Allah and they used to pray too .

THEY ARE ALSO MENTIONED IN QURAN , IF I SAY NO THEY WERE NOT PROPHET OF ALLAH THEN IM NO LONGER MUSLIM SO WE MUSLIM BELIEVE ALL THE PROPHETS SENT BY ALLAH , MOSES , DAVID , NUH , IBRAHIM , JOSEPH , JACOB , AND MANY MORE ... THEY ALL WERE PROPHET SENT BY THE CREATER OF HEAVEN AND THE EARTH . AND THEY ALL ARE MENTIONED IN THE QURAN . :)

What kind of prayer would be pleasing to God ? The Three Rakat Prayer ? The problem that it is  always repetitive, over and over again it becomes mechanical, automatic,.How many times have you prayed the same verse and letter over and over. then it is without sincerity. Such prayers and worships are valueless because that person's heart is not freely given. don't you think that God is tired of hearing same and same prayers, those prayers are not spontaneous.

How glad we can be that God puts no limit on how long or how often we may talk to him in prayer!

Our personal prayers can be brief or lengthy according to the need and the circumstances.

Jehovah God , the “Hearer of prayer,” is never too busy to listen to us. Let us never be too busy to talk to him.

@SuperPricil We say those prayers for ourselves..To never forget them because they are God's word and in his word is divine guidance..We don't need spontaneous fun prayers as you might need. You can do more than just the required, there are Duas you can do that can come from the heart and can ask God for anything or praise him in your own way.(Of course following Islam though)You don't seem to understand how God is viewed by Muslims, He is an entity not a person but can still love his creatures.

That doesn't prove anything as to what I was talking about.You having proof that another culture practiced praying 5 times a day before Islam might only be evidence that this religion came about from one of the prophets of Islam that were not mentioned in the Holy Qur'an. I was responding to your comment on the repetitiveness of our daily prayers.

Prayers of orthodox Jews are nearly similar to those of Muslims. Jews prays towards Jerusalam, Muslims towards Mecca. Muslims have a lot in common with jews regarding laws and Muslims have a lot in commen with Christians regarding spiritual/faith. Muslims believe God did not sent different religions, rather people made up all those religions. David, Abraham, Moses, Aaron, Joshua and Jesus al prostrated for God Al-Mighty. Nowadays only Muslims and orthodox Jews do so.

Listen to surah an-najm of this Shaikh and ull get a full 2 and a half pages of this same happy and cheerful tune :)

If u download the surahs then u can find this tune in surah alkahf, al insan(my favourite),al bayyinah, and many more in the middle of large surahs.

On youtube ull have ti search a bit cuz there are so many recitations of these surahs available but if u search to download in google or yahoo then ull find them much more eazily.:)
