  • @sharky97 : Actually hit up my man Classic Kuts Ron. He can personalize them for you.

  • @skid272 : No they dont even though I have seen people use them on Wahls they have to hold them with there finger

  • do those magnetic guards fits the wahl's?

  • @ItsNoe : It isnt a big deal me either way because I use all three of those clippers meaning the standard Senior, 5 star Senior and the Master.

  • @ItsNoe : No they dont. They both open to a 1/16 where as the standard Andis Master opens to a standard 1/8.

  • the Wahl 5 star Senior "opens" more than the regular senior.

  • @sharky97 : Sharky I got mine from Sallys but any beauty and barber supply should have them.

  • where can i get the custom faceplates for the wahl?

  • @sharky97 look em up online.. they got alot of badass ones..

  • @abel6924 : Try the Wahl Senior, Wahl 5 star Senior or Andis Master. The Masters shouldnt br over 80. The Seniors should be 60.

  • i just bought some clippers, wahl 5 star balding. tryna learn to fade. i wanted the andis master, i didn't have 140 though. got my wahl's for 20 bucks, not attachements. what do you recommend i get next?

  • Ill take the wahl 5 star senior over a master! But I still like andis :)

  • @Danny7shop : Get down like you live Danny. If thats your brand run with it patna. To each is own

  • @TheBrennyboy : What's up Brenny. It doesn't matter what brand of clipper you get as long as you get an adjustable clipper ( a clipper with a lever on the side) and at least two trimmers (because starting out you may not be that fast yet). On second thought, I will recommend these: the Wahl Senior (adjuatable), the Oster Fast Feed (blending machine) and the Styliner 2 ( trimmer) our either a Wahl Detailer or T Outliner. There isnt any need

  • Hey man I'm just starting out but I wanna be good what clippers do I buy man cheers

  • @mynameiskittyhi : Exactly. The 0 guard open on the Andis equals a 1 1/2.

  • all the way open that is

  • looks like clippers from texas barber college lol so if i put a 1 guard on the whals it would be a 1 n a half? n if i put a 1 guard on the masters it would cut like a 2?

  • @Iamdr3wski3 : Prove your point and dont try to call me anything but jp again. Anybody can be an internet gangsta but I do this fo real so unless you trying to go the whole nine by creating a conflict keep your mouth shut but I'll give you the benefit of a doubt, make a video and prove me wrong wise butt.....

  • you're a dumbass

  • i think you need to test it on a head make two open lines and see whats shorter, those blades have different angles, and wahl can also have a different blade too, they got a few types out

  • @stevecameron85: Again why dont you check my channel and actually got thru mys most recent videos. And for answer sake it doesn't matter what blade from Wahl you use. Their standard is a 1/16th blade while the Andis standard is a 1/8th. What more do you need to know that common sense won't tell you when you have the measurements I just gave you.

  • how come u dont use the senior? more powerful motor and better materials

  • @stevecameron85 : I made this video 10 months ago. Why dont you see check out my most recent videos.

  • Just opinions on which is better. Both do different things, try both and see what you like better. Just cuz someone else likes one better than the other doesn't mean you will. just opinions not facts.

  • @Og877 : And the point you were trying to make is what because what you just said was pointed out already!!!!!!!

  • Stand by. I will have a post by tomm.

  • This video compares a fade blade to a standard blade.....they were never supposted to cut the same length! Try comparing 2 fade blades or 2 standard blades!

  • @MrKduncaninc : Check out my new video

  • Im posting another vid up for the listening impaired.

  • The masters get supper hot thow.

  • @raydabarber7 : They do but not where its burning your hand. You just need to get quick wit it.

  • the masters doesnt include and guards?

  • @senicthaLunasiCk : Unless your getting the Andis Experience Master no guards.

  • The length of the cut is determined by how thick the bottom blade is. If the top blade is moved all the way forward, then the top blade is at the thinnest part of the bottom blade. If it is moved all the way back then it is at the thicker part of the bottom blade. The Wahl blade is thinner than the Andis blade so all the way open, Andis will leave the hair longer. But the more gradual angle of the Wahl blade gives the user more precision in determining the cutting length.

  • @unstickywickett : You missed the entire point of this. Another one bites the dust.

  • @jpthabarber Then you didn't get your point across to me. The Wahl blade on the Reflections and 5 Star clippers are thin, flat bottom, surgical blades with a 13 degree angle; the thicker blade on the regular Wahl Senior is a 27 degree angle. All Senior blades are interchangeable. If you want a Five Star Senior to cut like a Master, put the standard Wahl blade on it. If you want precision length use the one that comes with it. So, give it another shot and make your point. I'm all ears.

  • there both great they just have their differences but personally me as a barber i like Wahl better just because i have better leverage with my hands when doing a fade.

  • Jp is correct, just simply open both clippers and......theory proven....I'm turning into a oster fast feed person because they are one of few adjustable clippers that will cut anything because of the pivot motor, also the andis easy style with the rotatry motor are a beast with taking thick bulk hair off

  • Hey JP I was recently reading some old literature on the Wahl clippers and it states that their clippers with the Standard Taper Blade cuts from 000 to 1. So a Wahl's Senior with factory set blades will cut to the same length as a #1 detachable blade at it's longest cutting length. On the other hand the Andis Master's will cut from 000 to 1A. The Master's notches from closed to opens go: 000,00,0,0A,1,1A. If what you're saying is true the Senior would bottom out at about 0A, which it doesn't.

  • @fatsbigo : The Master doesnt top out at a 1A, thats a fact. if it did then it would be so on point and this would be a mute discussion. In my experience using the Wahl Clippers all the way open they are at least an 0A or a half as Wahl users like to put it.

  • @jpthabarber When I do a fade with my Masters using all five notches going up the scalp, I can go up the scalp with my Wahl 5 star Seniors to about where the 4th and 5th notches meet without removing any hair. If what you said is true you should only be able to move up to the 3rd notch area befor you start to removing hair. Try it your self, also if the Wahl is only Half the Master's cutting range it would actually be in between the 2nd and 3rd notch not the 3rd. 5 notches, half of that is 2.5

  • Also Fats you realized you did give the Andis Master six notches dont you. It only has five. Closed (000) to a 1.

  • @jpthabarber You're absolutely right, my bad. The point I'm trying to make is that the Master cuts from 000 to #1A not #1. Take a Master with it's factory set blades wide open and do a spot test, then take your detachable blade #1A and do a pass, nothing will come off. Now go over it with a #1 I garantee that hair will now be removed.

  • What's good my dude. Good point made regarding the Master - Senior comparison. But I see u have on the Wauls a fade blade and on the Masters a regular blade. All day long your going to get a different length between the two. But from my experience the Waul Seniors cut more length with while fully open with a regular blade on them than a Andis Masters fully open with a regular blade on them as well. Both are very good clippers at what they do. Originally the Masters was produced by the Waul Co.

  • Thanks for the info concerning the 76, I'm cashing in my Wahl and heading out to pick me up the 76.

  • Whats good!?!? Are you familair with the Andis Power Fade Clipper? Whats better the Fade Master or the Andis Power Fade Clipper?

  • ill go with the wahl 100% no matter wat length it is when open or close! Reason: i been having my wahl designer cliprs since 1998 and is still has a strong motor these are like equivalent to a v8 car motor they last longer not saying andis is bad but i just think they last longer

  • @Gera87M : And theres nothing wrong with that. If you like Wahl then use it, Same goes for Andis, Oster, babyliss, Forfex, Conair, etc. All I will tell you is don't pass judgement on any clipper unless you have already tired it out. I have tried both clippers. I disagree with your V8 engine statement because they both run more like a V6. The Oster 76 or other strong motor detachable clippers are the V8 and they both have magnetic motors. A Pivot Motor is stronger. May not feel that way but it is

  • In this video you are comparing a 5 star blade to a standard blade sold there would be a difference

  • @drellydrell1 : Hince, that's why your 1/16th clip is considered a half and your and the 1/16 on the Andis is considered a 1. For the sake of argument, do this. Cut a covatis (the real word for ceaser) even steven whatever you wanna call it. If someone wants a one on top, and if you have an Andis Master, open it up all the way and start cutting. Since you believe that their both the same size guard, Use you Wahl open it up and cut as well and watch what happens.

  • @drellydrell1 : Just make sure you use the Andis Master first. Watch how you cut hair off after using the Master.

  • Wahl senior and andis masters cut same length if they both come with there srandard blades(000-1) and andis fade and wahl 5 star series cuy almost the same length, the fade master cuts closer(00000) and the 5 star blade(0000).....all these blades are interchangable so it depends on what blade you have on the clipper...

  • @drellydrell1 : As I previously stated, I am comparing the lengths. It doesn't matter what blade you have on your clipper, Wahl fully opened clipper is only half of a fully opened Andis Master. I know from other post that your a Wahl guy or girl and that's fine but it doesn't matter what blade of Wahl you have, 5-star, pro Senior, Magic clip, it only opens to half of what the Andis Master blade is fully opened.

  • actually the thickness of the blasdes are the same on both clippers when fully opened

its just that the teeth are longer on the masters

  • @1shot16 : I'm talking about the length of the blade not the thickness. Length wise, if you have a Wahl and a Master. Open them both up all the way and see the difference in length. A wahl fully opened is half of what the Andis blade is. Try it and see for yourself.

  • @jpthabarber i use both clippers. i dont favor one or the other being better. i use each one according to what type of style of hair cut im doing. but both cut the same length of hair when fully open. i dont have to look at the blades to tell. i look at the hair left on the head after it has been cut

  • @jpthabarber How does the Oster Classic 76 compare to these two clippers? I've had the Wahl for years and am considering the switch.

  • @nourbutwatmi : I call mine the lawnmower because it cuts everything. Its different in the its a detachable blade clipper and they tend to be stronger then the adjustables clippers.

  • Whats your opinion on the Andis Fade Master? Does the magnetic comb fit on the Fade Master?

  • @deeman7030 : They do. I use Nano guards on them all the time.

  • HEY I GOT SOME OSTER 76 CLASSIC HAIR CLIPPERS ON SALE ON EBAY...CHECK MY VIDEO OUT ON MY YOUTUBE PAGE...

  • @equnioxx : As far as your preference of clippers go. To each is own. If you like the Wahl Senior then use it. This video was made to prove that the Andis Master is a true one vice the Wahl which isn't.

  • @equnioxx : First, thank you for viewing my video. It's really appreciated it. Secondly, the Andis Master and Oster Fast Feed are relatively the same blade. Also, Wahl Sterling, Wahl Professional or 5-star series, it doesn't matter, Wahl has a standard 1/16th blade vices the Andis which is a standard 1/8. Take it off and put them side by side to see for yourself. The leverage you get from a Master is unmatched by and the side adjusters put you over the top.

  • Does these silver magnetic comb fit to any clipper such as oster fast feed, wahl senior, andis improved master...etc.

    Thanks

  • @davidregina1: The Andis Nano guard only fits Andis and the Osters because they have the same blades. They don't fit any Wahl Clippers.
