  • Hello sexy

  • STAY FAR AWAY FROM HOLYWOOD THEY CONSUME ALL OUR AMERICAN MUSCLE CARS (Fast and Furious) Lost 4 more grand torinos.

  • Beautiful car man, American made muscle

  • Hola buen dia disculpe la pregunta cuanto me cuesta un carro como el tuyo es decir en cuanto lo esta valorisado saludos y gracias de antemano

  • sweet

  • Nice Car !! Too Bad it had Pepboys Tires on it :-(

  • Sweet ride!

  • What a beautiful car, I hope you beat on her A LOT! I met a guy at the Concours who had a 70, convertible....429 with a 4 speed and a Hurst T-grip.....damned thing only had 9 miles on the build...I said "Did you finish it last night?" he said.."no, i just prefer the amenities of my truck with her on the trailer." It hurt my feelings, coulda swore i heard the Torino whimper "save me"

  • Wow! Very highly optioned: A/C, Ram Air, 429...SWEET. I love that vintage Ford big block sound with the chambered exhaust.

  • yes is a beauty

  • Beautiful

  • What a gorgeous car.

  • The front looks similar to a mercury cougar.

  • All i can say is WWWWWWWWWOW

  • Beautiful automobile, although I personally don't care for a big block, Your engine does sound great

  • GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWL GRAWL!!

    That's what I'm talking about !!

    Nice torino.

  • man,.. i like these better than the older mustangs of that year, is that wrong to think that?

  • Beautiful car man!!

  • what kind of intake is that?

  • @Devilbaby111

    Weiand Stealth

  • Still love your car....i used to always see it at the baytown mall! You helped me out alot with paper work on where to find torino parts! thank you! You never got to see mine cause the mechanic took too long :( I just put it on youtube at- 72 gran torino cobra vs 97 z28 camaro

  • 1970 was a good year for Horse-Power.

  • Sweeter than a gallon of honey!

  • Very nice. I had one, a Cobra version. It had hood pins, rear window slats, but it had the stock 429 - 360 hp and 480 lb/ft torque, I think. Rear end was around a 3.00:1 so it was not a drag car, but it would fly on the interstate. 120 mph indicated was 4600 rpm, and I once (stupidly) took it to 6000 rpm on stock tires that were probably not safe even at 120 mph. I always wished I had the CJ engine that you have. Much more fun than mine, I think, especially with better gearing.

  • man i love these cars. mustangs are nice but give me a torino anyday

  • Your a/c belt seems to have a little play in it. Does your A/c give you any trouble?

  • holy shit, beautiful!!!!

  • Amazing piece of artwork...

  • this is my dream car...sweet

  • Thanks for the nice comments. Yes it is a C6 automatic. And yer is does have dual exhausts.

  • People need to pay better attention. Would a man with this awesome of a Torino have SINGLE exhaust out the rear?! Unless I'm seeing the bottom of the shock absorber on the driver's side, the driver's side exhaust tip is right there! Dude you have an AWESOME Torino!!! Any videos of the interior? Is this manual or auto?

  • @whiteribbonman1 Look at my other video. I was on My Classic Car with Dennis Gage. It shows the interior..

  • Very nice. Changed out my 429 for a 460 bottom end. You would not believe how much of a change in power it made. Still love the 429 though.

  • i was about to be so pissed if you dident pick up the camera. fuckin amazing car man. old school cars are so much better then anything made after 1999. great video. im actually re building a 87 gnx. hope to be as nice as that soon

  • lovely.

I think your air-con belt is slack?!

  • where can i find a replacement hide away grill for my 71 torino 500?

    can anyone help?

  • I don't care if it has duals or not... I know one thing, that this car is a beautiful son-of-a-bitch.

  • looks like a 460 to me 429 valve covers are wider

  • @shparker

You are probably thinking of the Boss 429. Those were a Hemi Head design and did have wider valve covers. The Boss 429 was only available in the Mustang, although there are stories about 1 69 Torino that may have been built special.

The standard 429 CJ and 460 share the same engine block, rods, and heads with the only thing diffferent being the crank and pistons. In the day (and even now) this was a cheap way to stroke a 429.... Just get the crank and pistons from a 460.

  • I have a 1970 XL, but I wish I had one of these instead

  • Use ur eyes. You can see the other pipe. It has duels. Sounds great and looks great.

  • I WANNA GO FAST!!!!

  • lol, my friend has one with a 429 in it sittin in his basement garage, might just take it off of his hands.

  • Nice ride, best years for the torino IMHO. Remember going to the scrap yard & finding a 429 CJ motor (late 70's). Foolishly, I kept the heads & didn't take the short block. Got them for scrap price!

  • prefer the black w/blue stripes....but this is nice also!!

  • yeah this is true "car porn" for sure!!

  • pure pornography

  • wauw, holy shit thats a beast!!!

  • Cam sounds nice...

  • no matter how cool cars are now, i still love their simple, yet steller deisgn back in the day. for torino, dodge charger, and chevelle, even the gto

  • oh that sounds wicked gotta love it

  • shes a beauty.....

  • big baby ;D

  • nice car man. we're fixing to put our 429 cj in a 67 mustang coupe. i think its a 71 torino 429 though. anyways i like you car!

  • The front end of the 70 is so frikin mean looking...

  • ford should bring back the torrino for 2012!!!

  • thats fuckin sexy

  • BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's a baaad bitch

  • this is one of the greatest looking cars i have ever seen

  • This is such a cool, under-the-radar car. I saw one for the first time at a local car show a few years ago, and I was blown away by the great lines, but also by the sheer size of this thing -- these cars were HUGE. Really nice car.

  • @LeftCoastGator And this was the mid size car for 1970. The Galaxy was even bigger. Thanks for the nice comments.

  • i have a 429 sitting on a shelf in my garage waiting to be rebuilt but its not a CJ, i rather due twin-turbos anyways.. but thats my opinion

  • Nice car

  • we have a 72 429 CJ and we are looking for the chrome piece that fits on the rear window...any ideas? we have looked at autokrafters and dearborn..

  • Yo, love the manifold color and the RAM AIR too!

  • torinocobra. com/forum join and tell em gade sent ya haha

  • You Should Put Two Four Barrels On There Man!

  • Beautiful car Jerry! Sounds great :)

  • I love the factory hot rod with Air Conditioning.

  • What a great sound!

  • wow if you guys think that sort of sound could come from a single exhaust pipe then you must be retarded.

  • i think im in love

once i get some cash im buying a camrao ss i hope so xD

  • wheels are looking awesome on that red beauty!you got good taste man!

  • Nice...

  • sweeet as sugar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is that original!!!!

  • very nice. I had a 70 Torino with a 351 Cleveland. would love to have had the 429. bad ass car. even that 351 street model would run about 120 mph.

  • Proud to bleed blue.

  • saaaweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!! sounds so good with one exuast imagine how good with duals.

  • @trailbikerharo

    It does have duals

  • @jroccot sorry buddy.. just seen someone here on comments say there was one exaust. thought they knew what they were talkin bout. ma bad. i was gonna say...

it sounds to good for only one exaust.

  • Awful damn nice Torino man. Very cool

  • Its great to see an old muscle car not polluting the environment, awesome car

  • Impressive, sounds great.

  • i dont real no why i like this cars, but still these car looks sexy as fuck, thinks man how much would this cast in Uk now?

  • @samisazerahga HUH...??? Say that again please...

  • Sound fantastic .. It's like music to the ears.

  • Looks like my buddy Phil Cerasoli's Torino, nice!

  • no way thats a stock cam...is it..?

    by the way AWESOME MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @zadok217 i doubt it' stock. just listen to that baby gurgle!!!

  • we knew a guy who had a 71 torino cobra with the 429 scj and 4.30 gears with automatic and i will say i have never been in anything that had as much power and torque as that thing had.it would literally smoke the tires at any speed and would bury the needle faster than you can say cobra jet.what an incredible piece of ford iron.too bad it was only made 2 years.

  • monster car ... nice

  • nice car sounds good too. A/C nice!

  • One of the coolest looking musclecars ever. I think the grille is the best of any make.

  • *opens up*

    my god, its beautiful

  • That A/C belt looks a little loose...

But other than that, your car gave me a boner :)

  • Wow! Nice car! :)

  • lol i got a 1970 torino gt with the fastback only 351 cleveland though, same paint and engine look though.

fuckin badass! btw its my first car im only a pup at 16 years old. ppl think i didnt work on it, when i spent over 800 hrs on that car... but w/e. i like it.

  • Awesome! It looks ready to take to the car show and win a few trophy's

  • I'm usually not that big of a Ford guy, but give me this and a Mustang Mach 1 from the same year and I'll be set.

  • You should consider stiffening the suspension a wee bit..

  • AH!!! dude, needs duals!! what are you doing with one pipe out the back, thats a crime!

  • @herbienbrian This has been discussed in the comments several times. The car has duals. When I took this video, the right side tail pipe hanger was broken and that pipe hung down lower than the left.

  • @jroccot

    ah, well pardon me!

its a beautiful car that I could only dream of owning.

  • @jroccot haha i read that guys commment before seein the the video and was like no fuckin way this car ever had less that dual exhaust lol

  • We have a white 1971 Torino with 429cj where did you get your 1/4 window seals?

  • @janfafard I got the vertical seals from macsautoparts. between them and autokrafters you can get just about everything for your Torino. Another good source for Torino parts is dearbornclassics.

  • have you ever put it on a dyno

  • beautiful

  • one word...awesome

  • Thank goB for fuel injection.

  • Check out my torino, its got 27k original miles all original car, the dash and the headliner and paint everything is original 1971 fast back gt 351.4v engine.

  • just for kicks looked like your serpentine had a little slack other than that beautiful car

  • if i had this car i would just drive around the city embarrassing Honda's

  • yuk one exhaust tip .... ya need two exhaust tips at rear then will look whole lot better

  • @001whitelighter - There are two exhaust tips. One on the Right and one on the left.

  • @jroccot lol

  • @jroccot there is only 1 tip on this car and yes it would look better with 2 tips. and maybe bigger. rectangle chrome

  • @Macisaac29 - There are 2 tips on the car, At the time I took this video, the right side tail pipe hanger was loose and that is why the tail pipe is hanging down lower than the left side.

  • that car just mean the first time i got to ride in one was the same 1970 429 4speed with the pistol grip shifter in 1992 my buddy was driving it hit concrete wall and the car still made it home smoking over heating busted up but strong ass engine love it sounds great .

  • ....drools

  • beautiful torino your very lucky to own a car like this it looks and sounds perfect! wish i had mine back!

  • man... i love those torinos... such a pretty well rounded car for the size of those cars they could move

  • fuckin love these torinos with ford big blocks in them, its a shame there souldnt be more 429 mustangs

  • Also, sweet car man. An underappreciated classic redone to an excellent standard. I hope that exhaust rattle goes away; my '70 LTD did the same thing.

  • Thanks for the comment. The rattle was due to a loose exhaust pipe hanger which I fixed after the video.

  • In '72, Congress mandated a variety of emissions-control mechanims, most notably the catalytic converter, which robbed power. Also in that year, the method of calculating horsepower was changed, which made those power ratings even lower on paper. In '73, a variety of safety mandates went into effect, resulting in hideous 5-mile-an-hour bumpers. And then, of course, you have the '73 oil crisis, which devestated gas markets and led to the predominance of economy cars.

  • Yes. The manufacturers had to do several things to meet emission standards from 72 on due to the technology available at the time.

Most of the "power robbers" were due to dropping the compression ratio from the 11's to the 8's and retarding the cam timing 4 to 6 degrees. So this dropped the HP from the 400's to the 200's.

Then add 200 to 300 additional pounds for massive bumpers and you now have a pig for performance.

  • What always made me wonder about american cars was when the muscle car era ended aprrox 1972, it seemed all the cars became lame looking as if to reflect their now lame engines.

  • hey man its because of the era of the people who wanted to make the earth a better place so they made it where they where gas freindly and made less poplutants thanks

  • beautiful car sir

  • Super !!!

  • I hope that by the time I'm out of college, there are enough cheap project muscle cars laying around for me to try my hand at. As a history nerd, I just have this natural urge to preserve these autos for future generations. Your Torino is the nicest Ford I have ever seen, bar none. You did a great job on the rebuild, and I gotta say, the 429 Cobra Jet is a good engine to have...but I'm sure you already know that!

  • @CaptainNarold: I feel the exact same way.........only problem is, we have all kinds of corporate interests pushing their wishes on the various politicians who live and work in D.C., so they can make their profits on whatever they want to push on us next, whether it be hydrogen, or all electric motors{yet ironically these same interests bullied GM to cancel their EV1 not that long ago}, etc. Or at least that's how I see it.

  • you have a prized posession man sickest torino ive ever seen 10/5

  • love those cars

  • Thats Georgous Love these cars hope to own one as nice as yours someday

  • the torque literaly shakes the car, sounds great . did you rebuild it?

  • I rebuilt just about everything in the car.

  • you did a great job on it!

  • now thats a car

  • love the blue engine block

  • Sweet ride! I would trade my g/f in for that car anyday!

  • now that is a symphony of noise that I could listen to for forever....love that 429

  • perfect except the belts get some that aer about a inch wide adds alot of look to the car

  • Holy crap Sooo nice. Although I admire and like the new efforts of Ford Chev etc with there Mustangs,Camaros, Challengers. The old days are gone. Jaw, drool hits floor.

  • My first Torino that i have heard that sounds that mean and pissed off. Beautiful piece of automotive history,

  • Wow that spaceship is awesome! sounds badass too. What kind of pipes are you running?

  • what kind of exhaust do you have?

  • Great car

  • hell ya!

  • Hail Mary!

  • wow that car is worth at least twice as much as my torino ... love everything on that car
