  • BOsworth was so huge he was the ideal linebacker for the time dude he was so amazing but he just got hurt.

  • this guy flew in on a chopper.... how awesome is that

  • alex smith is not good

  • @1337EK PFFFT Thats a bold statement.

  • @IGotAPagina hes not

  • Aundray Bruce was a bigger bust than the Boz.

  • yes there were wild things goin on at ou. if i didn/t had knee problems. in the first place. if we had a sooner alumni game. i would burn rubber on boz. look at that little german go..

  • bust are mostly qb's

  • Until Alex smith wins a league MVP or Superbowl MVP I will call him a waste of fucking garbage. That's right, I could care less about the faggot niners and their queer defense

  • if matt millen says it, you can bet your life it's wrong.

  • to all those who think smith is a bust. you try being a qb with 7 different offensive coordinators and 4 different head coaches and see how you fair. try if you are able not to judge smith to harshly remember the 9ners had a great defense for years! and gore has been their stable running back for years! understand when harbaugh gave smith the nod and gave him confidence he shined!

  • roid-boy.

  • Bozworth quit taking roids and then couldn't stay healthy. Imagine that.

  • Ten years, eleven million? You sure?

  • I don't think Boz was a total bust... He just got injured and was never the same... When he was healthy he did some good things on defense... I would not put him on this list...

  • did he just say that he didn't have a mullet?

  • Seriously its Bo Jackson how on earth is that fair to Bosworth?

  • A BUST is defined as a very high draft pick that ultimately just couldn't play at the NFL level. How is a guy a bust that was taken in the supplemental draft and was good player? Injuries did in Bosworth, not bad play.

  • well at least we can all say its hard to beat jamarcus russel for # 1 he made some easy money for not playing well lets just see ow Luck turns out

  • I don't care what they say Boz was good and played HARD..yeah he had hype but he sure as hell didn't coast on it (injuries caught up with him bottom line) so he got schooled by Bo Jackson(people forget how good Jackson was) Bo could have done that to any LB playing at the time(Bo could have been THE best of his era)..actually i'm surprised Boz never became a Raider he seems born to be a Al Davis type Raider

  • i wouldnt put him at number 3...he wasnt that bad of a player, the problem with him is that people only watched his mistakes, and not his good side

  • is he really a bust? sheesh what a rubbish list

  • they should update this and put alex smith and jamarcus russell on this list

  • @McClainTrain55 Maybe you should update your understanding of the NFL. Did you watch alex smith this year?

  • @110superdude like i said before BUST! if the 49ers had a better QB they would be in the super bowl..

  • @McClainTrain55 But didn't they beat the Saints? Who was led by Drew Brees?

  • @HaloElitesrule didnt the seahawks beat the saints in the playoffs last year.. the rams for goodness sake beat the saints this year.. even though i believe it was GREAT victory the saints arent the same on the road cuz theyre soft.. plus alex smith couldnt repeat his performance the next week only one third down conversion the whooolllle game??? plus only one completion to a wide receiver for 3 yards...

  • @HaloElitesrule im just saying when a QB is drafted 1st overall hes expected to be great... not just to be a serviceable QB plus what makes it worse is that the niners could had drafted the league MVP aaron rodgers... something alex smith will never be

  • @McClainTrain55 Yes, he is expected to be great overall. In fact every first overall pick. But if they're at least serviceable, then they aren't a bust. JaMarcus Russell, I agree is a bust. But to be fair, that's because of a lack of work ethic. Alex Smith in my mind is a good QB. Is he the best? No. Would I put him amongst the elite? No. He has gotten better, but not good enough to be with guys like Brees or Rodgers. All I'm saying is give him time. He might impress you.

  • @110superdude plus idk why youre being so defensive,, if youre a niner fan ive spoken to mannnyyy niner fans who feel the same way

  • @110superdude No but I did watch David Akers haha

  • @110superdude Yeah but he barely gets off since niners had the chance to get rodgers instead of smith

  • @bibi39 Who made it farther in the play offs this year?

  • @110superdude that was because of their defense not offense like green bay

  • @110superdude uhhh who won a superbowl, went 15-1, and won superbowl and nfl mvp...

  • @kinkykittens Yeah but look who he lost to. The fucking chiefs! Which is my team and also Alex Smith made it farther THIS YEAR! When the season before is over it doesn't matter anymore

  • @110superdude lol Alex Smith arguably had the best defense backing him up while the packers had the worst ranked defense going into the playoffs, did the Packers D hold the Giants to 17 points in 4 quarters and OT? thanks to Kyle Williams the Giants scored those extra 3 points for the win giving them 20 so i cant blame there Defense for that.

you make it seem like Smith carried the 49ers to the season they had he was mostly a game manager who relied alot on his teams defense and running game.

  • @110superdude and Alex's team lost to the Cardinals so what's your point? are u really downgrading Aaron for having one bad game all season against the Chiefs?

u seem like a hater to me, Aaron puts up great production hes consistent year after year, in just 4 seasons as a starter hes already led his team to a Superbowl win has won super Bowl MVP has won league MVP has broken NFL records, what does Alex Smith have to show for the 49ers getting farther in the Playoffs this year? oh yeah nothing.

  • @110superdude alex smith isn't playing like a bust anymore. A year ago I would have considered him one. But not anymore.

  • @110superdude All hail the WORLD CHAMPION NEW YORK GIANTS!

  • @110superdude

"and also Alex Smith made it farther THIS YEAR!"

Smith can thank THE best defense in the NFL and a great running game for that.

He went 1-13 on third down in the NFC Championship Game.

  • @QBDogKiller dont mean to but in but Alex Smith in my opinion mainly got to the championship game because of the defense and his RB. Just like T.J Yates got to the playoffs the Texans had a lot of weapons and strengths in there roster.

  • @110superdude lets go giants

  • @110superdude I will agree that Smith was def a bust until this year but not anymore unless he sh*ts the bed next year. I also agree jamarcus russell should be on the list and I think at #1

  • @110superdude That's a silly comparison. Switch teams and the 49ers don't lose...Rodgers is a SUPERIOR QB. Smith is what probably cost them a Super Bowl, Kyle Williams be damned. Wins and losses are not always an indicator. Vince Young has a better winning percentage as a starting QB than John Elway. Who would you rather have had?

  • @110superdude The Chiefs went 7-9. Douche. It's not like it was the Rams or Bills or something. It was a team on the cusp of the playoffs. -___-

  • @TheKCfan01 I like the chiefs but i knew we weren't gonna make the playoffs

  • @kinkykittens youre fucking stupid,, just stupid

  • @kinkykittens with that same thinking, everyone drafted ahead of aaron rodgers is a bust

  • @bibi39 7 offensive coordinators in 7 years.... if, hypothetically, the 49ers were trying to ruin Alex Smith on purpose, what more could they have done? Don't get me wrong; Rodgers is a great QB, but he also learned behind Favre and hit the ground running.

Bosworth actually played reasonably well but he was an arrogant jerk everyone wanted to see fail. His problem was injuries more than anything else.

  • @110superdude alex smith was carried this year by his defense

  • @110superdude i whatched him he is awful he is not consitante and he is lucky for his defense

  • @110superdude alex smith was good this year

  • @McClainTrain55 Your stupid

  • @BIGxWILLxXx638 just pointing out the facts..

  • @McClainTrain55 You're joking right? Alex Smith led his team to the NFC championship with a bunch of shit receivers with the exception of Vernon Davis, who isn't even a wide receiver. Just like @110superdude said, maybe you should update your understand on the NFL because you are a fucking idiot when it comes to football.

  • @35Dez28 lol alex smith didnt lead anyone the defense led the whole team plus turnovers. all i saw was a QB that couldnt get it done when he needed too only one third down conversion the whollleeee game!?!?! maybe you need to understand football because if you think thats a good stat as a starting QB then you are sadly mistaken.. plus only one pass completed to a wide receiver for three yards??

  • @McClainTrain55 I never said he didn't have talent you idiot. I clearly said he doesn't have any good wide receivers besides Vernon. That first round receiver your talking about is a bigger bust than Alex is. And yes, he did have a bad NFC championship game, he's a young Quarterback. He does have plenty of talent around him but the team lacks a good receiver like I said.

  • @35Dez28 dont tell me he doesnt have talent around him.. an oline full of 1st rounders, a 1st round tightend and a 1st round wide receiver plus he has a good running game... if you dont call that talent then idk

  • @McClainTrain55 i do not think alex smith should be up there. russell, yes! checkout my channels highlights

  • How the fuck was this guy a bust when he was a conditional draft pick? This countdown is bullshit.

  • @outlaw87100 cuz of the hype that came wit him people chalked him up as da nxt Dick Butkus & he was only a supplemental pick because he was kicked off OU's football team for steroids

  • 10 year 11 million??? damn!!! and he was a total bust. IMO rookies nob matter how good you are in the college level once you get drafted in the NFL your nothing but a piece of shit and you have to earn everybody's respect.

Next on this list should e J. Russel and Michael Crabtree.

  • John Clayton is a light bulb head

  • Bosworth being on this list isn't fair. He was a very good player, talent wasn't his problem, durability was.

  • @Ziggie1o1 I guess so, but wouldn't you call greg oden a bust?

  • @Ziggie1o1 Agree 100% the guy had the talent he just did't hold up over the seasons. He was a great football player maybe a bit over the top w/his antics but none the less a great football player.

  • @Ziggie1o1 yeah im confused by this, by this video it seems that he was good but he just hyped everybody else up to think he would be the best there ever was. he wasnt thhat, but it still looks like he delivered. im not sure tho never saw him play.

  • @Ziggie1o1 That, and the Steroids.

  • The Boz did nothing but dominate... 4.3 40 speed.. he was a talent.. just injury prone//

  • @outlaw87100 ...i agree 100% when he was healthly he was just as good as anyone with the same amount of experience and talent...if he had only came into the NFL as "regular" draft pick without all the hype distraction..lol but that wasn't gonna happen being who he was not to mention coming out of Switzer's OU program

  • Bosworth kinda looks like Randy Orton

  • Disagree with this being a draft bust, after all he was selected in the supplementary draft, so it's not like the Seahawks blew a first round pick on him. Definitely a bust in terms of dollars though, came in as a rookie and was signed to the biggest contract in team history at the time, underperformed, and only lasted 3 seasons.

  • how is he a bust, all i see is him smashing people. and he talked shit about elway then it shows him stomping on elway .. were is the bust?

  • he did his job,,,,and hit folk's....but when the body goes that's it....so i can't say he was a bust

  • Just saying, Brian Bosworth isn't as notorious as some others on this list. His shoulders were f'd up. Injury ending a career isn't ever as bad as Ryan Leafing a career...

  • 0:16, look at his neck..?

  • Rick Reilly criticizing anyone = FAIL

  • DAT NECK

  • Bo Jackson didnt make hima bust. Anybody remember earl campbell trucking jack tatum? Do people think tatum sucks because of that one play? I rest my case.

  • @metathus1488 good call... the Jackson bulldozing was a single play.. & it's one of the most overhyped plays in NFL history. There are 11 guys on a defense, one guy not making a tackle ( on a single play), is relatively minor in the scheme of 60 minutes of work.. minor in the big picture of a 16 game season. If someone wants to criticize Bosworth on his entire body of work, fair enough.. but every LB gets run over at one point or another.. so what. peace.

  • @GeorgeWashingtonX agreed. I guarentee you could find a play where brian urlacher, ray lewis, hell even dick butkis was embarrased on a play. So to judge a guy on one play is just stupid. If it happened all the time, sure, I can see that. But it happened one time. Every linebacker is a bust if being embarrased on one play makes you a bust.

  • anyone would be trucked by bo jackson

  • @packers718 EXACTLY...Jackson barring that career ending injury and we might be talking Jackson not Emmitt Smith all time NFL leading rusher (and his TD totals would have been way up there to)

  • lol, what a faggot

  • Bosworth had productive numbers and I can think of plenty of other busts that belong ahead of him. I know this video is a little dated but still there were plenty of players that were busts that should have been ahead of Bosworth.

  • Thanks top comments for the video recap.

  • What the fuck is up with his neck? He looks like a lovechild of a giraffe and Duke Nukem...

  • I searched busty babes and I got here

  • @DMXTVDallas hahahhahahah

  • Boz at #2? Don't think so?

  • All these old fart commentators that work for the nfl dont like him because he trashed talked alot and he was a rebel he didnt wear the clothes and hair everyone else did

  • Think about this, he had good business marketing skills. He cashed in on selling the hype of his" Boz" character. I'm sure he knew his shoulder was wrecked before he signed on to that $11 million contract and the SeaHawks unknowingly picked a shady overseas insurer for Boz's insurance,in which Boz sued over.He made more money being injured than playing. The man has shrewd business skills and besides the low budget movies,he's a real estate agent in Malibu. He'll never hurt for money in his life !

  • That Bo Jackson play is as hyped as Bosworth. He fan him into the end zone. So what. You see that all the time, almost every game.

I guess Bo could handle Bosworth so easy because he took more steroids. Bosworth should have juiced up a little more before the game.

  • @RRaquello .....bo jackson took steroids now........sigh........what will they come up with next.

  • @RRaquello I agree, so he carried Bosworth a yard and a half but still went down. Given if it were a 4th and 3 to go, there would've not been a first down there but that one single play is what people remember. I thought Boz was a good player with decent stats until his injury put him out.

  • jamarcus russell anyone yeah thats right

  • This is stupid mainstream bs. I can assure you boz wasnot a bust and doesnt belong on same list as guys like ryan leaf, tony mandarich, rick mirer. There are plenty of guys that I would call busts not on the list like mark sanchez, matt leinart, danny wuerffal there are tons of them

  • BOZ is DUKE NUKEM.

  • @Gregz0r1 He was the set appearance for the Duke Nukem character. Just look at his style in the late 80's.

  • When I saw Bosworth play in the NFL, he was good. I mean he as no Urlacher but he was solid and he was a hell of a lot better than most people on this list.

  • @thisisntme ...i agree i would Bosworth put in a category with a Teddy Bruschi, Dexter Coakley type LB(probably a little better then those guys minus the injuries)

  • Boz wasn't a bust.

  • Not sure Boz counts for #3. He was okay and then he got injured. Not great, but not a big bust, as deserves #3.

  • He put out effort and has some good games... His injuries were the biggest factor... He could play pretty good...

  • Once again JUST ANOTHER VICTIM OF HYPE! Good player never lived up to the expectations set by a top pick---he did pretty good on the field until his battle wit Bo Jackson, then it was over pretty much. When you get RAN OVER, then RUN OUT OF YOUR OWN STADIUM?! yeah that pretty much tell the tell of your career right there!

  • whats the song at 4:29?

  • Well you cant exactly blame him, IT WAS BO FREAKING JACKSON

  • @MrBigcheese1702 I'd like the so-called experts to name one player in NFL history who wouldn't have been posterized by Bo Jackson the way Boz did.

  • @WatchVenusSpa point taken... I didn't really watch too much of boz, was he really that bad?

  • @MrBigcheese1702 It wasn't a case of him being bad, it was a case of Bo being maybe the most powerful athlete the NFL has ever seen. (Who's career ended the same way, injuries.)

  • Boz wasn't a bust until Bo busted him. It's a damn shame that his career ended like this.

  • Boz was not a bust, he got hurt and Bo Jackson ran over alot of guys. I Couldn't stand Oklahoma, but I thought Brian was cool. He lived the life of a rock star.

  • first of all bo jackson was a super human that played 2 sports, i would not worry getting run over by bo cuz let me tell you something everyone got run over by bo

  • Brian Bosworth and Arron Curry showed that the Seahawks should never draft a Linebacker in the first round

  • I'm still a fan!!! go! 44

  • i dont think boz was a bust, i mean he was drafted in the supplemental draft lol , i think if your drafted in the first round and have a mediocre career you're a bust

  • A bust is just a player how was a failier in the NFL, even if it was injury stricken.

  • @PackofSpurs uhhh no injuries doesnt make a bust dipshit

  • And with the (any number) pick the Seahawks choose... Nothing good happens with that sentence.

  • "No athlete is an athlete with the intention of being a bust...".- Brian 'The Boz' Bosworth.

    Couldn't have said it, better.

  • JaMarcuess Russel!!!!

  • @MegaFootballfan15

    What about him?

  • @tthomaselli2 he is the biggest bust

  • Yea Matt Millen cause u got such an eye 4 talent!!!

  • boz was a great pro with terrible shoulder injuries. def. not a bust

  • Not a fan of this guy, being a Bronco fan, but I think he COULD"VE been good. Not great, but good. I like him now that he has been humiliated.

  • I don't get 2:45-2:52. What IS wrong with the jersey?

  • The U always shitted on Brain Bostworth and the Sooners. Bye bye Bosworth! We hate to see you go!

  • remember he also had a career ending injury which sucks.

  • @andrewr62 SAY IT TO BUTKUS' FACE!!!!

  • Brian Bosworth might not have had a very long lived pro career but he's not a bust. Just look up some of his pro highlights, dude could play.

  • 3:27-3:34.; No, he isn't.

  • 2:07.; Brian Bosworth with sun-glasses = Duke Nukem!

  • @tthomaselli2 duke nukem is epic sax guy is brian bosworth!

  • 1:54.; Was that in a game against the Bears?

  • Comment removed

  • 0:05.; Does Brian Bosworth kinda look like/sound like Brian Urlacher/Randy Orton?

  • 0:07.; I don't think Brian ever had that intention in mind.

  • You know, once he shaved his head, he kinda looked like Randy Orton. I wonder if he ever thought over professional wrestling?

  • @nickyv917

I was gonna say he looks a little bit like Brian Urlacher, as well.

  • @nickyv917 I THOUGHT I WAS DA ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT DAT.

  • "Brian Bosworth being a joke" is a joke in and of itself. He was EASILY the greatest linebacker when he played college at OU and is easily in the top 10 college linebackers of all time.

His two years at Seattle were average and he had the potential, in time, to be good had he not had injuries.

  • At least he admitted it, other busts would try to defend themselves by saying that they were not that bad.

  • 1:50 - 1:55

    Business in the front.

    Party in the back.

  • Worst haircut in NFL history

  • @mpj32587 No. Worst haircut EVER!

  • Bosworth doesn't belong on this list.He was a decent player until injuries derailed his career. There isn't a person alive who could've lived up to the hype and controversy surrounding him.A lot of it was his own creation, actually quite a good job of self-promotion.I wonder how much money he made from the t-shirts sold to the Broncos fans.I'm sure it pales in comparison to the product endorsement deals and the money he took off the insurance company that he had an injury policy with!!! Ya,Boz !!!

  • @qukarlz Me too, because Rick Riley is a DICK! If I ever see him, I'm gonna punch that Jew in the face.

  • if I aint mistaken at 1:56 Thats Bosworth sacking none other than Sean Payton.

  • no i cant say anything good about someone who uses steroids im sorry

  • Look at Jerome Bettis running over Urlacher, does that mean Urlacher is not a future Hall of Famer? Of course not!

  • @TheLastMonarch Every GM called him talented... Every team wanted to draft him. He was just overlooked because of how much he hyped himself up to be the best when he was just good.

  • Boz was a decent linebacker. No not among the all time best but his stats were decent and was a solid NFL perfomer. A bust? He didn't live up to the hype but he was no flop. Every linebacker from Butkus to Lewis have gotten run over at some point in there career.

  • @andrewr62 He didn't play that long and was forced to retire because he had the arm of a 60 year old (Doctors said that)

    ADIOS BOSWORTH!

  • @andrewr62 i havent seen anyone truck over patrick willis.

  • @SubjectChronic Just because you haven't seen it does not mean it hasn't happened. He's a good linebacker.

I saw James Starks of the Packers run through him. It's on Youtube if you want to see it. If anybody plays long enough it will happen. The talent level in the NFL is too high not to happen to everybody.

  • Can Boz really be labeled a "draft" bust if he was taken in the supplemental draft rather than the traditional one?

  • @thndrct218 depends on what round he was taken in. based on the record contract, im guessing seattle took him in the first round. since that meant they didnt have a first round pick the next year, he was essentially a first round pick

  • I can't agree with this one. To me, a "bust" is a guy who's predicted and drafted like he's going to be a success in the NFL, then turns out he can't play at the pro level. Bosworth wasn't a bust by that standard. He was a good linebacker. Not *as* good as the hype made him out to be, and injuries cut his career short. But it's not like he couldn't play at the NFL level...

  • He may have not lived up to the hype in the NFL, but Stone Cold is a classic action movie. A very solid rookie performance.

  • First guy, not D Sanders, Boz was the first guy to self promote like he did. Unbelievable college player.

  • Bosworth was a credible NFL linebacker but he couldn't stay healthy.

  • All talk--not enough show

  • He was a good linebacker, just created a lot of hype for his real talent.

  • 4:46 Matt Ryan to the Jets lol

  • To be fair he atleast show up for games

  • He doesnt look like a bust

  • He seems pretty cool to be on this show. To be fair though his ego back in the day earned him a bust title. Then again.. His larger than life ego also got him a huge check. He shoulda never challenged BO though, that play is probly the reason he is on this list.

  • atleast bosworth had class and character to talk on this show so atleast he wasent an ass
