I can't agree with this one. To me, a "bust" is a guy who's predicted and drafted like he's going to be a success in the NFL, then turns out he can't play at the pro level. Bosworth wasn't a bust by that standard. He was a good linebacker. Not *as* good as the hype made him out to be, and injuries cut his career short. But it's not like he couldn't play at the NFL level...
He seems pretty cool to be on this show. To be fair though his ego back in the day earned him a bust title. Then again.. His larger than life ego also got him a huge check. He shoulda never challenged BO though, that play is probly the reason he is on this list.

@metathus1488 good call... the Jackson bulldozing was a single play.. & it's one of the most overhyped plays in NFL history. There are 11 guys on a defense, one guy not making a tackle ( on a single play), is relatively minor in the scheme of 60 minutes of work.. minor in the big picture of a 16 game season. If someone wants to criticize Bosworth on his entire body of work, fair enough.. but every LB gets run over at one point or another.. so what. peace.

If it happened all the time, sure, I can see that. But it happened one time. Every linebacker is a bust if being embarrased on one play makes you a bust.

Think about this, he had good business marketing skills. He cashed in on selling the hype of his" Boz" character. I'm sure he knew his shoulder was wrecked before he signed on to that $11 million contract and the SeaHawks unknowingly picked a shady overseas insurer for Boz's insurance,in which Boz sued over.He made more money being injured than playing.The man has shrewd business skills and besides the low budget movies,he's a real estate agent in Malibu.He'll never hurt for money in his life !

"Brian Bosworth being a joke" is a joke in and of itself. He was EASILY the greatest linebacker when he played college at OU and is easily in the top 10 college linebackers of all time.
His two years at Seattle were average and he had the potential, in time, to be good had he not had injuries.

Bosworth doesn't belong on this list.He was a decent player until injuries derailed his career.There isn't a person alive who could've lived up to the hype and controversy surrounding him.A lot of it was his own creation,actually quite a good job of self-promotion.I wonder how much money he made from the t-shirts sold to the Broncos fans.I'm sure it pales in comparison to the product endorsement deals and the money he took off the insurance company that he had an injury policy with!!! Boz was a decent linebacker. No not among the all time best but his stats were decent and was a solid NFL perfomer. A bust? He didn't live up to the hype but he was no flop. Every linebacker from Butkus to Lewis have gotten run over at some point in there career.

I can't agree with this one. To me, a "bust" is a guy who's predicted and drafted like he's going to be a success in the NFL, then turns out he can't play at the pro level. Bosworth wasn't a bust by that standard. He was a good linebacker. Not *as* good as the hype made him out to be, and injuries cut his career short. But it's not like he couldn't play at the NFL level...
