Oh god, that zerg player made me cringe! Such bad roach and corrupter management! the zerg player could have macroed better and threw the corrupters behind those collosus and flanked them while the roaches where in the front, though the major problem probably would have been those pesky sentries with those pesky force fields!

Day9 teaches a lot, but he's focusing on noob stuff and he's so fucking boring when he's repeating the same shit for the entire hour. I havent found a caster that would professionally teach starcraft so far. And sometimes I'm getting an impression Day9 aims for retarded people... lol, zerg had 44 drones at 12 minutes and Husky did no harass. The zerg was terrible. SHould have had 3 bases up with 70 drones, skipped hydra tech, had 1/1 roaches with zergligns flanking and corruptors focusing collosus.

Also, Zerg had alot of gas in the bank. Needed an overseer to contaminate those Robo Bays...

Husky's army placement was terrible, all of his zealots were blocked behind his stalkers when he was taking out those spine crawlers. If the Zerg had pumped more roaches and positioned his forces by his forward spine crawlers, he would've stood a good chance of winning that battle. Also, didn't see any corruptions being used, which is pretty important since around 7 or 8 corrupters can 2 shot colossus with it, otherwise it takes 9 or 10 corruptors or 3 hits from 7.

I still think burrowing those roaches was a big mistake. The zerg also did not harass at alle. Never seen that beyon gold or even silver in that kind of a situation. Also I do like Huskys way of "educational videos" - I don't need every god damn obvious thing explained. His style is more about playing it out his way and then just tell his thoughts about what happened and why he did some things. I like the direct insight thing.

This is why I have a lot of trouble in ZvP. A decent death ball facerolls solid zerg unit composition, and the best you can hope for is spot-on macro to reinforce and hopefully not lose an expansion.

Not saying "You should have done this or you should have done that" but in from an observer's point of view the zerg should have made more early game drones when he saw the toss expand as well as taken his 3rd faster.. A good Zerg will be at about 175-180 food getting ready to max at the point Husky moves out. That was a roll-over when it shouldnt have been. No need to get burrow movment against Robo tech unless it's a timing attack or to hold off a 6 gate.

This 3 gate expand is much different from the normal 3 gate expand that is widely used at high levels where you get a lot of sentries really fast and your invincible from lings at the early game. If your struggling PvZ watch EGInControl his build like never loses and is much more refined.

As a toss, this is helpful. I run a similar build with sgates instead of robos, I'm just not as fast. I would like to see build modification for responding to fast zerg pressure. I default to cannons bc i want to save my gas for air support. Maybe a bad call?

Another rookie mistake you have made: Not enough pylons near production buildings (basically warp gates) MOAR PYLONS!

@Clermn Actually.. there isn't a full need to have too many pylon near production buildings. If you look at his placement, his units are in range of mutalisks and any units in the way. Also, if you put the pylon too close to the buildings, banelings will bust through all of them with full splash making it even worse. Also... if they end up getting in your base, it's pretty much GG anyway.

But Banelings against protoss, Really? only thing they are good for against toss is pylons, probes sentries and high templar and most zerg don't use banelings purely for buildings or worker units (unless it's zerg vs zerg) and if you have the pylons next to the building (of course, one away from the ramp) then it's harder for zerglings to get a surround on them. Pylons die more to Zerglings then banelings. Only in late game do you not really need many pylons near buildings.

I think I agree with u. The level of play in SEA region is also very competitive. Probably because there is a larger population in the SEA region compared to the North Amercian region (as the leagues are divided into having 20% of the regions population in each). So the higher the population in a server the harder it is to get to diamond.

I think Huskies' level of the game is no diamond. Otherwise I should admit, that the level of the american ladder is way lower than european. Like really, I think the reason he's in diamond is coz he qualified in times when there were not many players at battle net. And he had beta experience. To get in diamond now is way harder. At least in EU.

@bombaybic I've played EU, it's not very strong... I got into diamond fairly quickly, however I can't get masters... some reason the level of play shoots up a LOT in EU servers upon leagues. North American leagues are steady, EU servers just get a lot better in each league. Husky would be a diamond in EU servers... if I had to compare it.

Aside form the obvious blunders from the Zerg player, surely taking the middle yellow minerals expand was a bad call. As a Zerg player myself, and a person who follows all of PsY's videos, its always a good call to have at least one more hatchery than the enemy does, but always a bad call to expand TOWARDS the enemy?

@Mouthpart1 No. In this map you WANT to take the gold. It'll allow you to protect your main base from any ground harrasment as well as spread creep easier. It's also a good rally point for your units because you can abuse the high ground. However if you play like this zerg... and not fully saturate ur bases, obviously you will fail. Oh and also, if you build closer to your enemy they tend to get timid in the leagues lower than diamond.
