In all these vids, you can always see where the drivers could be pushing themselves harder, but they stay within their limits. They also choose times of day with minimal traffic, and obviously do some scouting on the routes of different kinds. These are professionals man, not some kid out on the weekend for a joyride that doesnt know when to quit. Heroes everyone of em i say.

They definitely are not heroes but certainly, unlike you and me, they have top-notch skills and are at the peak of mental and physical abilities. If you watch carefully the clip you'll note that they drive consciously and well aware of developing threats and they take needed precautions with timing. Plus they were driving at dawn when traffic is at a minimum.

The Corvette is an automatic.. but that auto gegarbox has the D1/D2/D3 positions and you can use them like a manual.. D1->D2->D3->D , and the same to downshift.. you want to downshift to 2nd just insert D2..

Its not a manual but you can play a bit with it
