@krupter If your up for buying a tractor that needs some TLC then you should be able to find a good running tractor that needs paint and probably a bunch of other little things in the $500 - $1000 range. FYI the H only cost us $650. You just have to be patient and keep your eyes open for the good deals.

@carshowsvideos when working correctly I don't have any problem with 6v. We have had an intermittent charging problem with that tractor. It prabably just time to rewire the tractor and get rid of the 54 year old wiring

I'm surprised you could take off in 5th from a stop. My H would never do that, I have to get it moving in 4th, and grab 5th and take off.

Nice, I always liked the Farmall H & M. Over in the UK though, most of them have wide front axles for working easy within our crops.
