Ok, I'm working myself through Star Trek right now, I've seen all but Enterprise and the last two seasons of Voyager, but I have NO IDEA who or what Carter quoted. Can someone fill me in?
Carter was trying to imitiate James T Kirk style of speaking (William Shatner) -he was the captain in the original Star Trek show (1966-1969) and had a distinctive "pause" filled style of delivering his lines.
@moridin909 Ok, but where did that line come from? I don't remember hearing it (obviously except for the "to boldly go where no man has gone before" part :))
oh -its a generic line -not from a particular episode. Mike was commenting more on the way he delivered it rather then the actual words. (I could be wrong though -my ST knowledge is very sketchy)
