@xshesminebitchx the lyrics to this song have outstanding religious meaning. Now, I'm not sure what religion you are, but there is no doubt that Creed is a band influenced by their CHRISTIAN faith. When it says trapped between this life and the light, it is referring to the sins of the world compared to the righteousness of Jesus Christ. When it says I've wondered if theres something more, it means the times which he had doubted his faith in God. The rain is reassurance of that faith. :)

I don't know why the rock critics and rock "elite" hate Creed so much. Their songs are catchy and they rock without being annoying or loud. Sometimes you need soothing rock! Even if the singer is a jerk, the music is still pleasant.

Scott Stapp (I think is his name) said that even though their lyrics can be interpreted as religious, they want it to touch as many people as they can.

Besides, I think a lot of Christian bands are really good (like Skillet, Petra, Red, etc.)
