  • Errrrggg... I'm 13 and memorized all of Op. 66 and my mom tells me to shut up when I play it T_T

  • @GhettoNinjaMan WHAAAATTT

You need to slap your mother in the face D:

No, ok.. You shouldn't.. But wtf! How can she tell you to stop playing this?

  • @Celestrall I don't know, she obviously has no respect. she says that it's just noise, she's a heavy drinker and smoker, so i'm not surprised. she's kinda mean alot.

  • @GhettoNinjaMan Oh wow.. That's messed up :(

I wish you the best of luck in coping with a mother like that! I hope you can continue your piano studies anyway :)

  • Old Hag: 0:02 "get me one of those". And at 0:11 "fuck you". Lol

  • what happened to the audio?!

  • @p4w5y7i8 and @tipomanx15 (and anyone else who has playback issues with this video):

Please select 720p or 480p resolution.

In 360 or 1080, the video plays at half speed, and the audio is distorted.

    YouTube decoding problem.

  • Wonderful! How anyone could give this a thumbs down is beyond me!

  • its too sweet

  • I did not want to fall in love with a child....

  • i looked at her finger's and my jaw DROPPED

  • i swear this is the girl out of karate kid with jackie chan??

  • there are so many young asians talented in something! And then Usa comes with this. Look at this. Emily Bear the piano prodigy only 7 years old playing mozart XO?

what's that? while like 900,000 asians can play the piano perfect in young age?

  • i bet no one played after her.

  • imagine the shame the next pianist, being older than her, would feel after watching her performance

  • WOW!!! amazing, your hands were like FLYING!!!

  • fuckin asians... they are fuckin better than us, we all know that

    DON'T FORGET TO PRESS 480p !!!

  • Sounds a little like William Tell

  • so glad the normal quality dont work so we get to see this in hd.

  • Beautiful! Just... Beautiful.

  • @monkeyBoner773 Wow, just bc she's asian? Never heard of naturally gifted/ talented? You don't have to be locked in a room and forced to practice to be that good. IT'S CALLED RAW TALENT! lets see you find some.

  • @KwonJiyong33 Talent= (a lot of) Practice, do you think she can play this because she just had luck, she probably practiced a lot! But I agree with you that because she's good, it doesn't mean that she's locked in a room and forced to play. She probably likes to play. I think her talent is a combination of passion for music and hard work.

  • amazing

  • No fair! She's asian!

  • This is incredible. I hope she loves playing the piano as much as people enjoy listening to her play. She is incredible.

  • Asians...

  • She is amazing! I'm 14 and having major difficulties with this song. How long did it take her to learn?

  • absolutly AMAZING!

  • Quite good.

  • superb.

  • Thats cheating, LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

  • is it just me or do I hear bells ringing at 1:32?

  • que paja exceleten ... sigue asi

  • very good performance...bravoooo...!!

  • DRAMA QUEEN.... who is teaching this kid to be sooo dramatic...even before she gets to the piano.... kind of weird like those child beauty pageants.... just put her in jeans and a tshirt and let her play....

  • Started studying this song today :), I'll upload a video when I'm expecting to be able to play, will probably take me quite some weeks

  • Video is awful.

  • oh god!!!!

  • A True Masterpiece from Chopin!

Played extremely professionally for an eleven year old.

    Best wishes from

    Karl : )

  • mesmerized by her bare arm...

  • I wonder if she can speak...write..or do anything but play a professional piece to an average level. Of course, the playing is sublime for her age; however, you have to ask how this piece is meant to be played. There is a lack of expression. Yes, dynamics are there, but the accents on the sharps in the LH and then the RH in the first parts are just not there.. She should focus on expression and articulation rather than trying to impress - I want to hear her tune, not say wow bc she's 11.

  • lolwut.

  • 1:05 the potted plant started shaking because of the epicness

  • i don t know they talkin bout quality while looking at this vid..i just tried to follow her fingers :) amazing talent!

  • Was great! Saw a little flat fingers on the left hand though.. If you fix that, things my be easier to practice and you won't be as probe to hurting or damaging your fingers. But it was great!!! :)

  • Technically great, but it lacks feeling in a lot of ways. It's so important to hang over those crucial notes, pull it back, give proper voice.

Speed is one thing, but expression and feeling are another [and they're not mutually exlusive :O) ]

  • @shellbiiird That's what romantic music is all about lol.

  • I LOVED it..

One ´complaint´ though... the very first note.

She hesitated... That note is like a thunder.. (At least that´s how I see it..) so she just should´ve smashed that G#..

Oh and I also hear like church bell thingies at 1:29.. very annoying..

    But well played!!

I couldn't play it better myself!

  • Bravo! Bellissimo!

  • Nice dress~ I like it~ :-D. I can play fantasie too... But not really that clear. I make a lot a lot of mistakes.

  • @MsBellaCarito AGREE!

  • vraiment étonnant

  • haleluja

  • wow this is incredible! she is such a small girl and she plays so beautifully. Well done!

  • wow this is incredible! She is such a small girl and plays beautifully. well done!

  • uh.. verryyy verry pooooorr quatlity but you play very good :)

  • Well, that's the benefit of having good parents who send you to learn piano when you're a kid. It helps you develop your brain, and it's the only way to be a good pianist. You can't be a good pianist if you learn when you're older (18+) because your fingers are stiffer then.

  • @SebaRasta not every kid with good parents can play like that at 11

  • @SebaRasta I disagree even at 18 our brains never stop maturing, or learning. As for our fingers its easier as an adult because they longer and can bend at the correct movement that harder pieces require, the advantage that children have is that they may learn faster, and/or pick up techniques faster. Its like when you learn a different language, instead you speak with your fingers :)

  • Amazing. I'm working on this and I don't think I'll ever play it this way. lol

    Excellent!

  • Toooooooooooooooo fast! There's no savouring the piece. )= But, of course, masterfully played... when it comes to speed and precision.

  • terrible quality. Soundtrack or codec issue.

  • @iamvalwong

one of the terribles qualtiys that i have ever seen.

  • WONDERFUL,WONDERFUL,WONDERFULLY BLESSED AND GIFTED FROM ON HIGH,TRULY A GOD SEND. I REALLY NEED TO WITNESS THIS YOUTHFUL SPLENDOR!!!!!!!

  • your interpretation of this is just great!

I think if you had your fingers a little bit higher and rounder, it would cushion your sound, and push you into perfection!

  • and the thing i most appreciate is valerie has a real strong musical sense!incredibly beautiful!

  • um...i mean, like how can Valerie plays the piano and the violin THAT well???and she was only 11 in this video? OMGGG...she reli is a music genius!:)) btw, where does she from? and when does she started to learn the piano?

  • GREAT!

  • she is very good, she gets better every time I watch one of her videos.

I could hear the notes very clearly in this piece ^^

  • froufroulover4's friend... AMAZING!!! this girl makes me feel so unaccomplished... i wish i could play this well!

  • Gosh I need to quit watching all these kids play this song. I'm 14 and still can't. Wow I suck haha

  • wow! Valerie is officially my idol-awesome job!

  • Has anyone else noticed that she flats out her fingers when she can't reach the far stretches?

  • this is a really tricky song...it literally requires your brain to think as individuals. Your left hand must be always even. Your right hand must always maintain the speed and hit accurate notes. Its difficult i tell you :P Lovely playing!

  • Is she better in playing piano or violin...I guess you can not assess it...o wow

  • on this video we can hear a more mature young lady already. Its verey interesting to see on youtube the evolution of this very very talented and hard working pianist.

She never lost her natural musicality and play. I am very confident for the futur of this young lady.....

  • wooooooooooow!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fantastic-great talent.Brawo *****

  • Oh my gosh! I would be so proud if I could play this at any age, let alone when I was 11!

  • She's really talented, it's a pleasure just to listen.

  • How pretty!

    How talented!

How proud her parents should be!

  • its not hw their parents should be proud

is how proud are they.....probably tears of happiness

  • bravo, excellent playing!

    !

  • "ziggaza" disgusts me. You played beautifully, and have a lot of talent. You obviously know a lot more about piano that he or she does about the english language and punctuation. Keep practicing, playing beautifully and don't let YouTube bullies get you down.

  • @ziggaza dun have to be mean to the young girl :(

  • shut up! you are so disgusting!

  • @ziggaza You are so jealous. Aren't you?

  • You play very good, but the video is VERY POOR quality. It cuts the song all 2 seconds and the video is after the song~ '>.>

  • Yes, I know. It was fine for the first several months after I uploaded it. Then, for some unknown reason, the video time got doubled, and the audio cuts in and out every second. I think it's YouTube problem, as it happened to two of my other videos recently. I'll upload it again. Please look for it tomorrow, or if you've subscribed to my channel, you'll get a notification when the video is uploaded.

  • It's fine unless you push the HD button.

  • The problem is in 1080p or 360p mode.

It seems OK in either 720p or 480p mode.

Thank you for pointing this out.

  • @geoffreyefloyd theres an hd button

  • in my computer it is really cut

but in other computers it is good

  • Please try selecting 720p or 480p mode in the video controls at the bottom right of the frame.

  • @Kiinsuke - See where it says 360p, click that button and change it to 480p. Excellent.

I know it's been a while since you made that comment, but you'll enjoy it.

    ( :

  • @Kiinsuke You have to select 720p !!!

  • She is so freaking beast

  • very good for her age !

  • Good for any age*

  • OMG!

    i'm so jealous. :(

i wish i could play like that. she's so talented!

    BRAVO!! A+ for you. :)

  • That... was remarkable. She has such a great interpretation of this. I think the only thing I do differently is the middle section... I play it slightly slower. Still... wow...

  • Not only great pianist!!!! shes also a perfect violinist ! <3

  • Absolutely beautiful. Keep it up. =)

  • OMG!!!!!!

    BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!

only 11 years old!! look how she controls her feelings in the piece! amazing!!!

hope to see you as a great pianist in the future! x))

  • adorable singing flower ^^ and it's a very easy piece either

  • Gosh ... she plays even better than me ... ==

GREAT JOB !!! You will have a bright future ... =)

  • U are so good at this! I hope u become a great pianist when u grow up Gud luck to success.

  • i have that dress lol

  • i really with i had long fingers like, then it would be easier or me to enjoy my playing and find some better songs to play.

  • wow theres a seven year old playing this also!! geniuses are getting younger-and her long fingers must mean a lot of piano

  • She and her sister always wear wonderful dresses. :)

  • she has really long fingers!

  • I'm never tired of hearing her play...

  • Wow...

    She's like...

    Amazing....She's 11 and plays this??

Damn.... I hate to say this but i'm kinda jealous....

  • God. I'm 16 and i can't even play the simplified ver. xD

  • mann i am 13 and i played this song a while ago for a competition and i was no where near this good. in fact i totaly screwed up the competition. respects man respects

  • Brava!!!

  • She plays this piece so incredible and with so much maturity for an 11 year old.

  • amazing!

  • My deepest respect!

  • respect. little lady

  • she is crazy good

  • she play it excellent...i love to hear the sound...she's so talented...:)...keep it up...

  • Excellent as usual, my dear.

  • x.x darn.. this girl is so damn good.. i envy her.. <3 this piece is my favorite.. T_T

  • When I was 11 I was playing easy versions of Beethoven. She has the technique of a woman playing 25 yrs +.

  • You may be jealous about her talent, but your claim of her being a robot was an insult.

  • That's pwiddy punny! The twuth is, she doesn't pwactice all day. She does pray the biolin and piano evewyday, but also goes to school, eats, does homework, reads Shakespeare, luns alound the house praying with her puppy, and studies for the SAT. hahaha. lolrtf

  • Just make sure she understands what it means to play with complete control and versatile musicality. Often we teach kids to play in this way and they grow up thinking this is how it should always sound. She in her violin and piano playing, is very obviously just a kid playing at a high level. Make sure the transition to adulthood follows even more rigorous training... doing it at a younger age if possible, is better.

  • nonsense. if an adult was playing with exactly the same technique and style you wouldn't see the kid in it at all.

    she plays like a virtuoso.

  • That's right, I would say this guy sucks ass...

  • You are right about that. If it was Horowitz, Rubinstein, or Yundi Li playing this, nobody would criticize.

  • wow! I really enjoyed her rendition of this piece. This piece, or actually all of Chopin's works, require a lot of emotion and she conveyed that well. It seems as if it comes very natural to her. I wonder how much she practices daily? 5 star and plus. and how long as she been playing for? I'm a fan

  • Good performance.

Studying for the SAT already; oh man. And Shakespeare at this age-- What generally can people understand beyond the literal words? If she's doing them out of her creative interest--that's great. But this is more suggestive of a typical case of "treating their child like their mutual funds."

  • Most parents don't give a damn about honing in on their kids. A kid is like a garden that must have seeds planted and then the garden tended to. Most parents just drop seeds and the plants grow, and so do the weeds along the plants that sap the life out of the good seed plants.

Children don't know one thing from another. If left to their devices, most of them will drop out when the going gets tough, which is not a good habit to develop.

Don't criticize what you never had or went through.

  • You know what's worse? Those kinds of kids using microphones to chat online.

    Annoying.

  • If you are a parent at all, then you probably have not been exposed to the type of parents I was raised under. I never disputed the fact that children are like gardens--I agree, they are, but "most parent's don't give a damn about honing in on their kids" is certainty untrue in my culture.

Shakespeare, in the first 17 sonnets of his sonnet collection, describes the offspring as the reflection and extension of its parents. That's why some parents do give a damn about decorating their kids.
