This is the original the other version people are actually familiar with is a updated remix. Listen to the piano and the synth of both versions. You'll notice the difference. The synth isn't so good on the original. Much lower quality too.

Time being linear as it is, simply just moved forward. Human nature being what it is, simply devolved into more mediocre forms of music. And calling today's music mediocre is doing it a huge favor.

No, I understand what you're saying. I'm just lamenting the general state of the industry and actually speaking a little "tongue-in-cheek" if you will. I can't speak for anyone else but myself and this my opinion, but when I was a teen in the 80's music was fresh,INNOVATIVE, and full of subtleties and nuance. Today's music seems tawdry,nihilistic and depressing, at least to me?
