I thought the voice suited her, actually. I understood quite fast that she wasn't saying what the subs said, because I know a tinzy winzy bit of japanese, but this made me realize how sad I think it is that they don't speak during cutscenes and all that.

i think its meant to appeal to those that watch japanese anime and read the subtitles without knowing how to speak japanese.

Those of us that know how to speak japanese will know she isnt saying what the subtitles say. But it adds a different element thats appreciated :)
