  • THE KEY QUESTION IS WHAT TEXT DOES THIS GENEVA BIBLE COME FROM?? Masoretic? Critical? Septuagint? Textus Receptus? Sinaticus and Vaticanus?? and what's up with the maltese cross?? this bible is full of masonic symbology on the cover...the flor de lis, the two stacked squares...The King James bible built Christianity in the West and in Europe for 100's of years...apostasy came when new age bible versions came out...yes fundamentalists use KJV to manipulate people but it's the best bible out ther

  • Warning it's just an ad!!!

  • How would I be able to get one? I live in Mexico..

  • @Azmiia THE 1550 WAS THE FIRST EDITION OF THE GENEVA BIBLE PUBLISHED

  • This is a bible for me. I despise e-bibles. Nothing takes the place of reading scripture sitting in a chair with no disturbances. I'm old school.

  • It's good to know the history of these things, but so far how is the Geneva bible different from the King James vs besides the fact that He may have been writing it from a "royal"perspective or maybe even a political one; even so, it sounds about the same?...

  • @atlasshrugged2u

the complete Geneva Bible was dedicated to Elisabeth 1st in 1560. I think 1557 was when the New Testament part of the Geneva Bible was published.

  • @MsCread Oh...thank you :)

  • I bet the Geneva Bible still dosn't contain the Book of Abraham showing you how to worship God the same way the Ancient's did: "I shall wrap a girdle roundabout the Earth" on the Lay Line Grid = Katholikos, which the Catholic's can't do!

  • Does the copies from this website have the commentarty, and footnotes in them? If so I would like to get one.

  • Comment removed

  • I have the Geneva Bible thru E-Sword. Great reading, but gonna get an actual copy - nothing like holding a book in hand and quiet times.

  • @evilunixuser1 I agree. And you never know when an EMP bomb will go off, or the power will go out for a long time.

  • @ParadoxicEnigma God is love. And He loves YOU.

  • @evilunixuser1 God is love. And H loves You.

  • @combatvetlawstudent - That, I am completely aware of. God bless you.

  • I just bought a 1599 Geneva Bible today! It is great to have the commentary of the Reformers to get a better idea of how they understood the Scriptures. Plus it is so great to have such an incredible piece of history.

    God bless!

  • I feel exactly the same. I bought mine several months ago. Long live the Reformation!

  • Me too :D

  • Death for Reformation! And Mary did this to get out a minority of protestants, not a majority. The majority stayed Catholic, and after, became Anglican. Protestantism was put inside Anglican Church, but that ones failed. Disaster occur outside the true Church. Long live to the Pope!

  • @pedrohqb The Pope is the devils advocate, He serves no purpose in the Christian Religion, We do not need a middle man or anyone else to talk to God the Pope is a puppet to the NWO nothing more !!! he is only there to control you !!!

  • : I agree with you but myself I've been with christians for 15 years and I do not see anything good on them for they are stupids like the darkness of the night, I am sick of Bible and hymns bashing with jesus, sacrifice, drink blood and eat body, cross he done all-this junk all the time, what for and at who's expenses? at mine forcing on me when no body of christianity understand that are brainwashed and that his sacrifice is only a trap to bring you in the pew for money laundering and etc.

  • @ASONOFUNCLESAM I totally 100% agree with your statement. And his name vicarius filii dei adds up to 666 in roman numerals. he has the evil mark.

  • I bought a 1560 reprint from Hendrickson publishers. It is wonderful. The worlds First study bible....

  • @ThoughtTraveler how much?

  • Deaer christof,

You can't beat the hebrew bible.

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy

  • @YouAreSoRight

If you mean that to read the Tanakh in the original Hebrew language is best, than you are indeed so right. :) That's why I look forward to learning Hebrew. My mother tongue is Assyrian, which is basically Neo-Aramaic, very close to the Hebrew tongue, so for that reason too I am eager to get started.

But as far as English translations go, and as far as having a rich and beautiful heritage, the Geneva Bible is incredible.

  • @AgApE010 where did you get the geneva bible from, please tell? I want to buy one.

  • @aladyg

    -

I got mine from Family Christian Bookstores. However, it was rare to find it there. You can buy it online easier and for much cheaper. Here's a link:

    h t t p : // w w w . christianbook . com / Christian/Books/easy_find?Ntt=geneva+bible&N=0&Ntk=keywords&action=Search&Ne=0&event=ESRCN&nav_search=1&cms=1&search=

Just remove the spaces between the letters.

  • Check this out for reading on King James:

    reformedreader (DOT) org/gbn/igb (DOT)htm

  • Thank you for posting this! I wish people would realize that KJV isn't the only English-language Bible that's valid. We get so caught up on petty differences anymore that we fail to see the awesome love of God and how it can change our hearts forever if we will accept Him.
