Very informative....a well done job.....i think to a lot of non-muslims, plural marriages in Islam are taken by surprise, but first ppl need to understand that plural marriages in Islam r beneficial for those women who need protection, who don't get married due to dowry or are widow...islam allows plural marriages to help such women in trouble....but such a grt cause can't be seen by narrow minders

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala allowed polygyny in Qur'an, but limited it to four wives.

Polygyny may be necessary to block the doors of Shaytaan when it comes to Fornication/Adultery There could be women who would not find a husband in certain communities if they only one wife each. The wifes could help each other out. Expansion of family means a strong family. Many wives means many children which is good for the Ummah.

I understand your modern view but please understand the historical context where at the time girls were much more mature than today and always got married as soon as they got pubirty. Totally normal 1400 years ago. remember that Mary the mother of Jesus had her son at 13 years old and was engaged at 12.

good video. but i would disagree in one point. a man shouldnt marry more than once just because he needs to satisfy his sexual desires. its true that sex is an important part of marriage but marriage isnt just about sex. its not supposed to be.

i personally think that multiple marriages are permitted in Islam, but not encouraged. although as you've pointed out, in some cases it could be beneficial.

Indeed,it is permitted BUT not for everyone. Allaah says in His Holy Book (interpretation of the meaning): "And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphan girls then marry (other) women of your choice, two or three, or four; but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one or (slaves) that your right hands possess. That is nearer to prevent you from doing injustice"[al-Nisa' 4:3]

If you're talking of her consent then YES no need but if your refering to hidden from her,well in some cases they do that in the beginning  for some valid reasons,but eventually should come out clear and clean, ASAP.THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SECRET MARRIAGE IN ISLAM.

Iy Should be noted there are conditions attached to plural marriage: 1.)Justice or fairness Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one"[al-Nisa' 4:3)
