eh. the new ones great and all but Is A Real Boy was better. Say Anything has started to focus more on production, rather then the music that Max seems to pour directly into the mic in the last album. In Defense is pretty good though.

I agreeeeeee. I don't know. I listened to the latest album, but I just don't like it as much. Is it just me or is it more poppy techno? I don't know. After I heard two or three songs I gave up and didn't listen to the rest, so I might have only heard the poppy techno ones. I was sad though, A Real Boy was more grungy and twisted rock feel. I just liked that style better. :|

hmm. but its like...an experimental album. its still the great Say Anything but Max had a BREAKDOWN while recording Is A Real Boy. This album is based on kick ass production while the last album was based almost entirely on raw emotion. just because the vocals are a higher volume doesn't mean he's screaming the same way as he used to. i give In Defense a 4 out of 5 still.
