The 556 doesnt have a forward assist unlike the AR platform, it doesnt need it bc its that reliable.

I think he meant it the M14 way- pull it back a bit and let it forward

The AR-15 doesn't have a charging handle on the side. It's behind the iron sights.

No, THIS guy is saying to hit the forward assist on the 556, not the AR-15.

Well THIS guy is smoking crack because there is not a forward assist. Just a charging handle and a bolt stop on the left side. I should know I have a 556

The charging handle is the part on the bolt that is use to load it before you start firing. It locks back woth an empty clip and you can push forward on it to make it load a new cartridge.

@guitarheromomma I know, I own one and you CANNOT push forward on the charging handle. You pull BACK then let go to release the bolt on the SIG556. I am about to make a video to end this
