  • Did you know that Jerry Brown is the main reason why Prop 8 was even close? After he tampered with the wording of the Measure the polls surge up Against it! Im not a Jerry Brown fan either but for other reasons. But I find it hilarious how quickly everyone turned on him when as a politician he did more for for No on 8 than Newsom, Boxer, Feisntein and Pelosi put together. And you wonder why he didnt show up at the hearings.

  • Yes, stop the tyranny & replace jerry brown!

  • ===###=== VOTE NO on PROP 8 ===###===

Despite what Prop 8 supporters claim Prop 8 does in fact take away rights which include pension plan survivor benefits, no guaranteed leave when family member is ill, long-term care insurance, state veteran benefits, tax exemption of inheritance, exemption from testifying against spouse, tax exemption of assets between spouses and marriage.

  • I was picketing tonight for yes on prop 8 and the people holding up signs covered 4 intersections. we got cussed at and flipped off and pancakes thrown at us. voting no on prop 8 will take away the freedom of the people of california to decide for ourselves if we think being gay is wrong. our right of speech and personal opinion will be taken away. parents wont have the right to say they dont want their kids to learn about homosexuals or teach their kids that its wrong if that be their opinion.

  • It is a crime what the Attorney General has done. Thanks for bringing this issue to the attention of Californians. You guys are AWESOME.

  • VOTE NO on PROP 8 in California

People's rights to visit loved ones in the hospital are at risk.

VOTE NO on PROP 8 in California

  • do you even know what prop eight is about????

  • This analysis is simple; it comes down to two questions: First, do gay people currently have the right to marry in California? Yes (if you're still answering "no," you're just delusional and a waste of my time). Second, does Prop. 8 aim to stop gay people from being able to marry? Yes. So, Prop. 8 would "eliminate the right to same-sex marriage." Period. There is nothing unfair or misleading about it. Don't get all upset just because commons sense is making you lose more support every day.

  • Wow, I stumbled upon the two minutes hate...

  • what a bunch of miserable people

  • Sammyseattle-

"progress" lol, progress to what? Men running around in women clothing, and teaching our young that it is popular. Promoting HATE towards religious brothers. What planet are you from? LoL, You progressive liberals, take your progress and shove it! GLBT needs to STOP their HATE.

  • LOL they must be tired after repeating the same thing over and over! I tried it but it's too much of a tongue twister for me :(

    and 49511143021:

What is this hate you talk about? The LGBT community is hardly trying to attack religion. All your comment tells me is that you have a skewed perception of us.

  • The homosexual act is an Obamanation!

YES ON 8 BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!!!

  • And the definition needs to be changed. It's called progress.

  • The truth about Prop 8 was before Democrat Attorney General Jerry Brown sabotaged the title/summary when it was adopted by 1.1 million voters stating: "Provides that marriage in CA shall be only between one man and one woman." (Which is, ironically, how marriage is defined).

  • You are picketing because you don't the truth about prop 8 to be printed on the ballot?

Not presenting the truth is called lie. Have fun in hell sinner.

  • You are clueless.

Proposition 8 simply reads "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California" but Mr Pro-Gay Attorney General changed it in such a way as to provoke people into voting No to it.

  • It states exactly what prop 8 will do. Remove the rights of gays to be married. You know...today gay people have the right to get married don't you? And if Prop 8 will remove that right shouldn't the prop8 description state the fact that it will remove the rights that exists today?

And on a different note. I love that Lady Bug game you have on your page. How can I get that? Did you buy it from a store or download it? Love that game!

  • Brown abused his power by rewriting the proposition 1.1 million people signed.

Where in the constitution does it say that marriage, gay or not, is a right? Nowhere.

Regarding the game, haha, thanks. You will find (illegal) ROMs everywhere. You will need an emaulator to play it (such as MAME 32).

  • The Supreme Court ruled that that specific law (prop22) was unconstitutional. And that yes indeed gay people did have the same rights to marry the person they love, just like you do. Our opinions don't matter in this, its that facts. So that petition in its original form should in all respects be void. Because now it will remove a right from a group of people and that's not what it said when the people signed it. The prop 8 people are lucky it's still on the ballot.

  • Brown had to change it to what it would actually do or remove it. As for your comment about marriage not being in the constitution. The constitution doesn't spell out every single right it protects. It spells out that everyone must be treated the same in the eyes of the law.

Thanks for the info on the Lady Bug game.

  • Now you are the clueless one. Again, the California Supreme Court has ruled that the state constitutional protects gay marriage. Too bad if you don't like it, the right exists. Denying it is just delusional, and a waste of my time. That said, Prop. 8 takes away the right to same-sex marriage. If the right didn't exist, Prop. 8 wouldn't be necessary, now would it? Moron.
