u know the camaro is actually designed by the Holden Motor Company in Australia. They also gove us the Pontiac G8 and last Pontiac GTO. They are also providing chevy with the crown victoria replacement for cop cars. The new cop car is a G8 with a longer wheel base and more cabin room. The Camaro and G8 are built off the same platform.

@IamMaiC holden still make the car and they were making it long before pontiac imported the VE commodore. 2 years before the G8, the G8 model (VE) was released in Australia. Holden have released the VE-2 since the g8. Holden is talking to Chevy about re-exporting. The Chevy one will most likely have a similiar grill to the comaro. I know its a good car but Holden have a better version of the c'dore for their sports brand, Holden Special Vehicles (HSV). Its called the HSV GTS.

@scarblade234 You know Holden is a GM division right? The Camaro was designed in the US, then once designed it was engineered in Australia. Holden was used to engineer this car because in Australia they have less stringent rules than the US does now regarding performance. They were allowed to go all out on performance then tweaked down for US fuel economy and emissions and safety standards.

They're called High Intensity Discharge headlamps and no they are not standard regardless of what stepside2 says. They're part of the RS package which is about $1,700 extra. This package includes custom rims and more chrome, along with the HID headlamps. However most dealers only order Camaro's with the RS package anyway so your probably not going to find many without the ring headlamps.

Half my family works for GM and definitly not as grunts in the factories. I have the numbers right in front of me provided by GM's sales division, published on the internet. As of October 2009, of the 51,673 Camaro's sold on the U.S. in 2009 42,204 of them are equipped with the factory RS package.
