Interesting... I dont call it even though, a fully stripped V8 equipped Z4 isnt exactly a match for a - eventough quite possibly tuned - K1200R. If you use a supercar, use a superbike.... Nice vid though, quite liked it :-)

how many of you guys actually ride full 1000cc+ bikes as i have been to the ring this year and believe me it doesnt matter how fast you think you are on the ring you forget where you are and its very easy to miss read a corner as there are lots of blind sumits etc. p.s. look on the bright side the bike would have one the race anyway because the finish line isnt until the end of the straight and the bike will pass there!

How is the k1200r a girls bike it pushes out 164bhp  only weighs 230kilos and does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and could piss all over a r1 and a busa and this video was clearly made for promotianal reasons so thats why the k1200r let the z4 pass so many times because if it didnt the video would just be of the k1200r

what ever the bike is clearly the faster if you realy pay attention the bike swings wide on that corner to let the car by. and when the bike passes the car he's gone when the car is infront the bike is on his tail bike tops car hands down the race is staged. that bike has 163hp whats the busa got?

have you ever even drove a K1200? Beats the living SHIT out of an R1. R1 is a hardcore POS compared to BMW bikes.

With it's high speed sweepers and lack of tight technical sections, a K12 actually is better suited for the ring than an R1. In testing/development a K12 set a new motorcycle lap record on the Nurburgring ring. It was mentioned on superbikeplanet quite some time back. Don't forget, BMW has development facilities right there on the Nurburgring ring.
