  • CRAZY ASS MIG-21 PILOTS!!! THE BEST OF THE BEST...

  • to były czasy pamietam szwedzi przylatywali patrzeć jak to robią polacy

  • It seems like Poland had a formidable airforce at the time!

  • The guy at 2:11 nearly ran off the road...not a whole lot of room for error.

  • With these fast landing/take off aircraft, there s very little margin for error, as you might see watching the video.

To do this it takes guts and training.

If they were western pilots, they would only do this if the aircraft were equipped with zero-zero ejection seats...

  • aftabdarogar

Thats why pilots need to be trained very well. They are not allowed to make a mistake eventough it is human. So it happens :(

  • Thats wonderful i always loved the mig 21 :D

  • Great for those annoying toll barriers

  • wow

  • they test the mig`s if can land on a normal highway :P

  • Rososzyca - DOL!

  • Tak wtedy mieliśmy ponad 500 Migów 21 w Polsce a teraz? Pożałowania godne rządy okroiły lotnictwo do 24 Mig29 i 24 F16.

  • Those look like the MiG-21PFM

  • would you do it with the F16?

  • polish film "On sky and on land" - ("Na niebie i na ziemi") from 1973 director Marian Dziedzina

    sry for translate :)

  • MIG-21 is such a versatile plane, it´s relativly low wingspan enables it to emergency land on even the most narrow roads. and its great durability allowing it to operate in the most harsh conditions, able to operate fully with 20cm ice on it´s wings, and able to withstand repairs by often drunk mechanics makes it still today one of the most sucessful fighter plane´s ever made.

  • Ktoś wie, jaki to DOL (Drogowy Odcinek Lotniczy)? Słyszałem, że odcinek Mostowo (k. Koszalina) na trasie Mostowo-Lubowo.

  • this looks fucking hard especially with a MiG-21 and its high speed landings

  • AMAZING!

  • Extreme!!!!!

    Good pilots!!

    Greetings rom Hungary :-)

  • Man! Those things land HOT!!

  • :DD I like it...

  • this is common thing in polish air force, at least it was back in the day. Those "air fields" are called DOL's - Drogowe Odcinki Lotnicze, Road Landing Strips and all pilots at one point did train at them. Correct me if im wrong

  • You are right 100%. We actually trained here in US to land on a highway strip.

  • Yeah, propably in Cessnas when ran out of fuel...

  • Hehehehahahahahahahahahahh:-D

  • super tare VERY COOL

  • the last one was almost on the egde of the road,,,,,,awsome pilot.....!!!!

  • 2:13 near crash

  • not even close.

  • A traffic police officer with a radar will make a fortune

  • They sure came in fast, the '21 must have a high landing speed??

  • In Indian Air Force Mig 21s are known for being an unforgiving aircraft for their very high landing and take off speed even a small error gets magnified but very hardy frame takes the punishment easily. Still a very potent predator in a trained hand with new avionics engines n new armament

  • From what I recall, the MiG-21 was not an aircraft that liked going slow. Like the F-104 that was designed at around the same era, these were definitely built more for speed than slow and maneuverable flying that the aircraft of today are also capable of, and with that, came the short wings (which usually had considerably higher minimum speeds than those aircraft with a larger wingspan.)

  • awesome!

  • very good, id love to see that

  • I carrelliii!!!

  • mig 21 the most rugged piece of machinery to be built in a long time

  • Amazing vid, I love it! Thanks for sharing!:)

  • This video is made in Poland, with Polish aircrafts and pilots on it, so Czechs has nothing to do with!

  • great outlook on some of the practice from different countries, love the rear sequence showing how narrow the landing strip is and how important it is to hold directional control at high speed taxi, thanks for the video.

  • Mig 15 or 17 can be seen parked at 0:35 sec along side the road. Fantastic video! Thanks and greetings to the Czechs from Canada!

  • mam pytanie co to za film i kgdzie go znajde moze ktos mi opisze go z ktorego roku jaki rezyser i akcje pozdrawiam

  • Film "Na niebie i na ziemi" Rezyser Marian Dziedzina.

  • Hi...do you know where i can find this movie in italian? If it exist

  • @EagleFulcrum1

I don't think that someone translate in to Italian...

  • Hi...do you know where i can find this movie in italian? If it exist

  • Hi...do you know where i can find this movie in italian? If it exist

  • That must be thrilling for the pilots. :)

  • Heya spades, anyways I've flown planes but I gotta admit, I'd be shitting bricks if I did this...

  • Made in Poland , ; )

  • kurwa przeciez jest napisane w opisie filmu ze polskie.

z reszta nikt nie pytal z jakiego to kraju

  • they do the same thing in Finland and Sweden, this was a great video to see :)

  • great video... i did also see some american a-10's land on the highway in germany...

  • with the JA-37's?

  • Sceny lotnicze w owym filmie "Między niebem a ziemią" są po prostu cudowne... I te ujęcia... :)

  • its a great operational tactic using unused roads

  • Actually higwaystrips aren't unused roads. They are normal, public road ready to convert into runway. On both ends there ara stands for planes, for fuel refeling etc., but road is closed only, when Air Force has exercise there.

  • It's a normal, local road; widened, with road signs moved a bit away from the surface.

  • 240 km h or 150 miles per hour. My brother flown on it...

  • Landing speed on Mig-21's was about 300kp/h

  • Whats the take off speed?

  • About 350kp/h

  • what the fuck???/?

  • Now is a good time for someone to jaywalk :)

  • Some of the touchdowns sound like the Mach5 Jump boost from Speed Racer!

  • Respect for polish pilots. And all war-saw pact pilots.Early Russian and late ww2 german constructions, are very heavy to control.

    Regards

  • Mig-21s are well-known for their high landing speed , by the way. It has to do with the lift-generation from the relatively small delta wing at low speeds.

  • MIGs were always built with rough field capable landing gear, so this should be nothing.

  • It's about 2-3 m/s but they try to do it as smooth as possible.

  • Thanks for posting. Some bloody good pilots there. No room for error.

  • Nice landings

  • 2:10 He almost goes off the road.

  • Not even close... ;)

  • what so special about it ?

  • los pilotos cubanos aterrisabamoas en la ochovia de noche los rusos se quedavan asombrado

  • los pilotos cubano haciamos ese aterrisaje en la 8 vias en cuba se quedaron asombrado los sovieticos y de noche

  • 1 plane did that and then it just looped for the "rest of the MiGs"..

  • Are you blind or somethin? Didn't you see how diferent type of landigs were shown?

  • I've seen this kind of thing before in many other movies, so, No. I'm not blind.

  • So watch carefully once again. :-)

  • Nice work from poland! PFs?

  • Yeah they're mostly MiG-21PF'S from former 1. PLM "Warszawa" :)

In the whole movie we can also see PFM version, MiG-15UTI fighter-trainers and an Lim-5/6 (MiG-17's build on license in Poland).

  • 20 years ago...so much harder... Mig 21 dont have avionic like F16 :P

  • 20 years ago...so much harder...mig 21 dont have avionic like F-16 :P

  • ййй

  • All pilots hase been arested by road police: very hight speed and left line ocupation.

  • Are you serious?

  • Only two pilots knows low, and occupated only right part of road.

  • bardzo fajne...but seriously, could you imagine them trying this today? Even the sturdy Mig21's gear is no match for mighty Polski drogi....

  • that was long long time ago...

  • kto ma ten film :(?

  • FAKE, thats a runway

  • Sure, with bridges over it, forrest nearby... Come to Kliniska and see :-)

  • Highway built as a runway.

  • It's both. The Soviets built sections of highways that doubled as airfields, complete with support areas and runway markings on the road. This helped them operate across the vast expanses of territory the had to cover.

  • Excuse me, I meant to add also that much of Europe has had similiar plans as well. For instance, SAAB has always had an emphasis on short takeoff and rough field capability to gain the same capability.

  • DOL Kliniska?

  • niezłe

  • witam widze ze nick typowo lotniczy PURT1F?

    hahaaah

    A moze NR22F2

    Pozdrawiam
