Ideally, if you wanted to be VERY stealthy and covert, using an electric powered golf cart would be virtually silent. Although I wouldn't want to 'bump' into an 800 lb jaywalker with a golf cart. ? would be VERY silent though,..
Do you ever drive that road with headlights off and using the night vision camcorder to navigate? You probably could find a very reasonable nightvision web cam and plug it into a laptop and use the laptop screen as your "windshield" ???
@rntonp unfortunately our generation of night vision reflects off the windshield and blinds us. We could use some 3 and up generation of night vision for a project like this.
@SUSANFARNS Yes, but what I kinda meant was mounting the camera firmly to the hood or roof and plugging it in by using a long USB 2.0 extension cable. ( a firm mount would greatly reduce 'shaking' ) Just a thought.
Are you just spotlighting? (in similar fashion to deer poachers?) I would suggest putting a KC Dayliter bar atop your vehicle and change out the halogens for big wattage I.R. Illuminators
Hi ! At 2:01 stop frame, I see ( without any doings on my part ! ) 2 eyeshine's & the outline of a head ! Good work ya'll ! At stopped time 4:14,to the right side, looks like a dark grey head & on to 4:15 it changes to a brownish color. At 4:32 ,good eyeshine left side of the road, small animal most likely. 4:47 thru to 4:49 something fairly large on the left side, easy to see ! TC !

@GrymWraith No spotlights used. IR makes the eyes shine much more than white light.

Sorry for the typo in the beginning of the video. The year was 2010, not 2020
