  • vomits on floor mac for hand held divices ftw!

  • does it have a touchscreen

  • i bought a compaq h3800 pda. i had to buy a battery for it cause the one insd didnt hold charge. how do i get it to update or just get internet?

  • A 3800? That ancient technology...we're talking 7+ years old by now. Does it have an SD card slot? You could get an old SD WiFi card...

    - Jason

  • welli bought it at a garage salelol. i bought a battery but ill look into the sd widi card. thanks

  • Should i get this or the Ipod touch? how good is the touch screen on this? as good as ipod touch?

  • John, do you have to send them back to the PR firm when you've done your article?

  • D'oh! Note to self, ask questions AFTER you've watched the entire video. Hehe.

  • I LIKE IT

  • ahah he dropped it...

was it on purpose to show how heavy duty it was?

    or "your bad"?

  • It was just a simple mistake, that's all.

    - Jason

  • compared to the new HTCs, this one looks kind of cheap :( I just bought a Touch Pro

  • Well, considering that pretty much any HTC device is going to be 2x or more as expensive as this, they should look a lot nicer, no? ;-)

    - Jason

  • wow you were quick to reply :)

    True what you said.

  • this video is from a year ad a half ago remember

  • how much is it for ? is it reasonable?

dsoes it have a camera ? or internet?

  • Expansys has the iPAQ 110 for $285 USD as of today. It does not have a camera. It does have "Internet" if by Internet you mean WiFi. It does not "have Internet" if you're referring to 3G.

    - Jason

  • I have a new video and i just put in my videos folder in youtube its my pocket pc so i dont like my video. that is my ppc.

  • what is wifi? and i have learned more of my pocket pc. have u used the progaram isilo?

  • WiFi is the term used to describe 802.11b, 802.11g, etc. Wireless networking based on radio frequencies. I'm sure you've heard the term before, it's quite common. I haven't used the program iSilo, but I've heard of it.

    - Jason

  • if you have a wireless router, then your ppc can connect to it.

  • i want 1 lol

  • ic..thx any way

  • hi..my ipaq now the language is korea..

how do i change to english language???pls help me

  • You can't - the devices are sold in the one language and there's no way to change it short of flashing it with an English ROM.

    - Jason

  • can you insstall a nother software like windows mobile 6.0 on the ipaq h4355

  • You can only install Windows Mobile 6 on the iPAQ h4355 if HP released an update for it - and I don't believe they did, so the answer is no.

    - Jason

  • hey i need help to install games or some thing can you help me i hope you get that review because i want to see it

  • Please go to the forums on Pocket PC Thoughts and post your questions there.

    - Jason

  • can you make a reveiw for hp ipaq h4355

  • I don't have that iPAQ, and since it's an older unit, HP is going to send me one. There are lots of reviews on that product, just search for them.

    - Jason

  • can you use internet explore and browse the internet with that?

  • Yes, it comes with Internet Explorer Mobile. You can install Opera Mobile and other browsers on it.

    - Jason

  • How long does the battery last with moderate to heavy use of wifi ?

  • Honestly, I'm not sure - I didn't do any serious battery tests. According to the Brighthand review, it plays video for four hours straight before the battery dies...so I'd guess you'd see about 5-6 hours of WiFi use.

    - Jason

  • does the 1oo and 200 ipaq series work as a cellular phone?

  • No, the iPaq 100 and 200 series are not phones.

    - Jason

  • wow you dropped is it that lightweight?

  • Yes, it's fairly light - but I've dropped heavy things too... ;-)

    - Jason

  • oh good you're on here ok so i want a pda because they can do video music internet and photos pretty much an ipod touch however why should i get this instead of an ipod touch?

  • It sounds like an iPod Touch would be a better fit for you than this iPaq, as long as you don't mind using iTunes for everything.

    - Jason

  • yay this was added on my birthday.

  • Wow, you're so awesome :O

  • While i drop it......

  • Check out my hook while the DJ revolves it...drop it! ;-)

    - Jason

  • *As i drop it.... (i ment as)

  • Two questions:

One, do you have to pay for it monthly like a cell phone.

Two: So if I have a working internet like Quest or AOL I don't have to pay for internet because I'm already paying for a working internet already for the Wifi to connect to, right?

  • No, there's no monthly fee because it's not a cell phone. It has WiFi just like a laptop has WiFi, and when you buy a laptop there's no monthly fee for WiFi, right? :-)

    - Jason

  • how much is it and can u put normal windows programs on it

  • Pricing is around $299 USD and you can't put Windows programs on it - Windows Mobile is a different version of Windows.

    - Jason

  • can you use a SDHC card?

  • Yes - SDHC cards are supported.

    - Jason

  • uhm i have one of those but one day when i recharched it it dosent turn on i wonder what happenned....

  • Sounds like a hardware failure - get in touch with HP tech support and hopefully they can send you a new one...

    - Jason

  • ugh will it cost?

  • If it's still under warranty, no, it shouldn't cost anything.

    - Jason

  • aww it aint no more.....

  • The iPaq 100 hasn't even been out for a year - and the warranty should be a year. So I'm not sure how it could be out of warranty...?

    - Jason

  • oh well i duuno

  • can you use a memory stick?

  • No - only Secure Digital (SD) cards.

    - Jason

  • the screen doesn't look very bright, is that adjustable?

  • The screen is about average brightness for a Windows Mobile device - it's adjustable, but I think I had it at maximum brightness. Don't judge the screen quality of a device based on YouTube video quality though. ;-)

    - Jason

  • its adjustable

  • Nice review!! Thanks for posting. Glad your pda works after the drop hehe.

  • Glad you liked it. And yes, the iPAQ 110 is sturdy. ;-)

    - Jason

  • U can go internet for free :S because it doesnt have sim :X?

  • If you have access to a WiFi network, then yes, it's "free"...but someone has to pay for the Internet access via WiFi.

    - Jason

  • im ordering one also :)

  • lol at putting the SD plastic back in thought it was broken

  • great video... but seriously... do ppl still buy these devices? i mean... you cud probably buy a win mo 6 phone wid all and even more features for probably the same price... do ppl still buy dedicated pda's?

  • Yeah, there's definitely a limited market for a dedicated PDA like this one.

    - Jason

  • hmm... but what are the advantages? because, you can do everything you do with this and more on a win mo 6! is there anything special in this that I dont know of? i kinda like it... tell me more!

  • Please watch my other iPAQ 100 video, the review video, for more details on it.

    - Jason

  • i did... it was a great review...

  • Thanks buddy.

tomorrow i am going to buy it ;)

    5 stars ;);)

  • Really nice vid but when you dropped it i thought those were gunshots, lol

  • Haha...the dropping part definitely isn't something I want to repeat! ;-)

    - Jason

  • best review iv seen on youtube, great job

  • Thanks for the kind words, I'll keep going my best. :-)

    - Jason

  • Any word on the video review that you said you were going to do?

  • I still want to do it, but many other things have come up that take priority - I'll see what I can do before I leave for CES. No promises, but we'll see!

    - Jason

  • Good review. Just bought one off amazon, let's see how that one turns out. Many thanks for taking the time to put this on youtube, there's very few proper reviews right now. Cheers.

  • Great video. By far one of THE best reviews. I have a older HP device, it isn't a phone like any of the new ones. It runs Windows Mobile 2003/SE. But it serves me well. Its the HP iPAQ 5550.

  • very cool, nice review! 5 stars

  • Thanks saber514, I appreciate the support!

    - Jason

  • I assume it supports SDHC? Also, you were wondering what to use SDIO for, but the thing does not appear to have a camera. I know HP makes a 1.3mp SDIO card, that would be perfect for this, but it would add to the bulk.

  • Yes, it supports SDHC. You're right about the camera, I hadn't thought of that!

    - Jason

  • Can I have it? =p

  • This thing is fugly, but great review!

  • Wow, I've seen dozens of reviews from Phonearena, PhoneScoop, ShinyMedia, and Steve Litchfield, but I have to say, you are easily the best reviewer. The review just flows well, and you're much more tech-aware than the other reviewers. Also, your English is very neutral and articulate, though somewhat Canadian. My only criticism would be that you didn't really comment on the screen quality or viewing angles. Also, what kind of connectivity does it have? WIFI? Bluetooth?

  • Thanks for the compliments, I appreciate it. I do strive for a nice conversational flow, and I'm a geek at heart so knowing what I'm talking about is important. Although apparently (according to Engadget commenters) I should have correctly identified the UK plug rather than calling it a "European" plug. ;-)

    - Jason

  • Regarding the screen quality, I was going to talk about that more when I do the full video review on the device. And regarding the Bluetooth 2.0 and 802.11g, I thought I mentioned it, but perhaps not - I did put it in the sidebar description though. I'll try to make my video review even better!

    - Jason

  • Great video! Thank you for making this video!

  • hehe you said "about" "aboot" :D

  • I confess, I'm from Canada, but I just don't hear me saying the word the way you say I do - guess I'm "audio blind" that way. ;-)

    - Jason

  • sweeeeeet

  • lol nice u dropped it lol

  • Yeah, pretty slick hey? ;-) I didn't want to cut and re-do the whole thing, so I figured what the hell...

    - Jason

  • right on
