im trying to do the same thing with a light bar on my jeep cherokee, how did you get the wires into the cab/battery? obviously theres a hole somehwere but i want to know how its done. i dont want there to be water dripping in when ever it rains.

@80TRIUMPH08 just carefully get the wires under the seal lining for the windsheild and run them down into the engine compartment to the batter, then run your wires for the switch into the cap through the fire wall. look up some stuff on cherokee forum, great tips on stuff like that. I own a 2001 XJ with a 3" rough country lift and soon to be 31s. Anyone else have a 3" rough country lift that sits a bit high in the back? i complained so they refunded my money so im gonna get a 1" puck in front

@skiboarder4 woah i wouldnt go anywhere near the windshield, thats tempered glass, i would'nt ever attempt to run wires through there....just pull the headliner down and drill a hole...opinion not fact

thats a good sounding jeep, it all about choppin the cat and just from there back adding 2-3/4in pipe and a flowmaster or any alike mufler and thats what you get..the Cat being cut off reeeally makes a big difference in the sound of these 4.0's and they all sound the same if you have the same exaust LOL...Mine sounds exactly like that and i LOVE it, real throaty, cant beat the sound of a big INLINE-6 baby!!!! and oohhhh with the stroker kit?? now thats a sweet deeal!

i've listened to alot of jeeps on here trying to figure out what i want to do to mine and pretty much everything i heard sounded like a little ricer.  This is the exact sound that im looking for, i was just wondering what all you did to it becasuse it doesn't sound like all the rest, unless yours doesnt have the straight 6 4.0 in it?

@Nascar419 this jeep is an 88 with the I6 4.0. all i know is that is has a flowmaster 40 series with the cat cut out of it. the jeep was my dads and he got rid of it. the jeep he has now is a 92 with the 4.0 HO and it sounds like a ricer. i thinks is all about the motor year and the exhaust diameter. i think the diameter of the exhaust is 2 1/4 inch

@danthejeepman87 hell mine is a 94 with the ho 4l and it sure as hell dont sount with a ricer, but mine had a factory 2/14 inch exhaust, but im runnin a 3 inch now and seperated the 6 cylinders im runnin 3 and 3 on dual exhaust

@danthejeepman87 i think shortly after 88 they changed some internals on the engine and it made them sound completely differrent. I had an 88 and it sounded just like that but a freind had a 2000 and it sounded way different with pretty much the same exhaust.

we used one optima red top. this jeep had the 4 lights on top, two backup lights mounted on the roof rack, and a mile marker 9500si winch. those optimas are damn-near bombproof.

My first car is a 1997 jeep chee sport 4.0 strigt 6 its the best thing ever! it has a pro comp 4 inch lift 3inch body with 33 pro comp muders and pro comp bumper it has the flowmaster 44 with cat but thinking about cuting it off. best buy in the world for 800 bucks
