Hindu is a religion. It would be proper to say that the acotr in the clip, Raj Kapoor was the "Indian" version or Hindi (language) film version of Charlie.

Such a nice song...this was back when Indian cinema was at *least* as good as Hollywood. Now, sadly, it's nothing but crap. Way worse than American movies. I am not Indian, but one of my Aunts is, and I was very close to her, so I really like these old movies.
