Thank you. I did have some fun times with my father whilst he was alive. Best of all my daughter got to spend some time with him as a child. Something I didn't get from him.
Thank you. I think my father's time was up. He was an alcoholic and that was the contributing factor in his death. Do I wish he would have been any different? No. He may have been an alcoholic, but he was happy being one, and I believe that life is to be enjoyed.
Jeff been a long time since I have been on the net,,, and im sure you may not remember me,but im sad to hear of you loss a year ago. I hope you are doing well.
its just amazing... i'm sorry for your loss, but i do know... that your father would be so proud of you for this... in fact.., i think he is right now.
Thank you. I only met my father when I was 21. I am quite different to how he was, though his life was very interesting. Frowned upon by many, but it makes for a good story :)
Hi Jeff, I saw your videos of how to sing and some of your version (Covers) that you did. You really have a nice voice and you sing with heart. I am sorry for your Father and Grandmother. Go after your dreams and hang on and don't let go. Have a nice weekend. Take Care!
Singing and writing is one of the most enjoyable things in my life. It's great that other people like it too. I think the most important thing is that I enjoy doing it, and I most certainly do :)
I have never heard that one...I appreciate you sharing. I have no doubt that they will be missed. For every passing there is something new that arives....promise
I'm happy that my father lived his life the way he wanted to. Not everybody was in agreement with that but if you can live in your own way, then what is there to regret? :)
Sorry to hear about your lose I think your Dad would be very pleased! I like the song very much! Keep up the good singing you do ! Always wishing you the best things in life.
This is so beautiful and relaxing Jeff. I can't imagine anyone tiring of it. I find myself singing it over and over again and have even woken up to it for the last couple of mornings, a therapy in itself.
Little Heartless sends her love to you and Veronica Jeff. The pictures are alive, as if it were happening here and now. You look so happy together. A priceless treasure!!!
Thanks Nige. My father used to be involved in the 60's music scene. He was a harmonica and guitar player. His musical tastes spanned several decades :)
Thank you for sharing the wonderful photos of your Dad with us, Jeff, Such a beautiful tribute to your Father. So very well put together. Take care, Mary
I've been doing a blog for several months, and I'm going to push that. I'm going to start telling some of my father's exploits in it. There are some shocking tales, and a lot of amusing ones too. Some involve celebrities. That's all I'll say at the moment. There's plenty of material :)
He was a bad, bad boy sometimes, but I loved him because he was my father :)
In memory of John Patrick Lanham and with many thanks to my Son, on behalf of his Father. He will be so proud Jeff; that you have chosen to celebrate your love for him through one of the greatest loves of his life. "Music"
Jeff.My sincere Sympathy to you and your daughter on the passing of your Dad.Thank you so much for sharing your very beautiful tribute to a man who had obvious love for you both. He certainly gave you a loving, sensitive and Creative heart.Times were differant then but he bears the hero's scars of some one who tried. You three certainly look alike! As a fellow human who has suffered the loss of a parant, I am most empathetic and appreciative that you risked sharing this tribute with me.Phil
What a year for you Jeff, how are you holding up? How is your daughter dealing with it all as well. Lovely tribute. Hold those memories close my friend. Bless you and yours.
Thank you. It's all a part of life. we have to deal with all these things that get thrown in our path. Memories are precious, and always alive. If I want to smile about it, I need only recall some memories.
He was indeed a real character and it was obvious that you loved him very much. He knew it was a fact. As we can see from the photographs, he bathed in your love so much that it radiated in his smile and his obvious pride in you and his open affection for your Daughter were all testament to the love you shared.
We, none of us, are saints! It should be gift enough, for us to know that our loved ones have been given the choice to live their lives as they wished and of their own volition, carve their destiny in the fashion of their hearts desire, whether it be pleasing to others or not.
