If you go to "The Siren Archive" in Oak Ridge Tennesse, you will see an Omni Derectional siren picture. The name of the siren in the picture is called "Toshiba". The siren I am hearing in this video sounds like a Federal Signal 2001.
I've been to Oak Ridge and I've seen the sirens and have heard them on testing days (thankfully not for real), but they are all omni-directional mechanical sirens that spin and have fan blades inside within the city, and in the outlying areas but near the roads leading to Y12 & ORNL they are bullhorn type that are omni-directional sirens, i wish i had more info that that but that's all i know about the model numbers.
Yeah the bullhorn ones are a lot louder than the other ones. I am so glad that I am never near the bullhorn ones when they test them. The only time I was ever next to one when it went off, I almost died because it was so loud. I think the ones going into Y-12 and ORNL are the bullhorn ones so that they will get peoples attention better. Cause K-25 is mainly being decontaminated now rather than doing much nuclear stuff.
Their "decontaminaion" didn't start too well. :/ The "U" is an open structure right now and all kinds of wild life is getting in and getting coated in radioactive dust... When they first started demolishing the U they cut into a pipe, without any thinking ahead, and yellow cake fell out. Now they have to remove miles of yellow cake-filled pipes through a long, drawn-out process, and it's taking forever; not something they had planed on. Silly K-25 staff...
riveting

I go to school right outside of Oak Ridge. After school one day I should go find some sirens here. Too bad there are no Tbolts
