It runs Debian Lenny (the repos are in sources.list) but with a HP touch. At max it uses 8 Watt and in idle state less than 1 Watt :). I ordered a serial cable for controlling uBoot and modify the installed os by replacing it with a fresh Debian Squeeze install. I will jot everything down on my little blog on ARM based systems :). Contact me if needed, maybe I can be of any help with the info on my blog.
Plug a 500GB-1TB USB thumb drive and it might be able to run Windows.

But will it run DOS 5.0 with GeoWorks 1.2?
Todd82TA 3 months ago
@Todd82TA Well, it's running Debian, so I could slap qemu or bochs or something on there, and do exactly that. (And, there's also DOSBox.)
bhtooefr 3 months ago
@bhtooefr All I need now is an RLL/MFM to IDE to SATA converter.
Todd82TA 3 months ago
@Todd82TA I never got the SATA port working on mine, so an RLL/MFM to IDE converter, and then an off the shelf IDE to USB converter would work.

I must say your video is a much better sales pitch for the product than any of the HP material I've come across.

Yeah, the real problem is the 10/100 ethernet port. I need gigabit port on a thin client for video playback!

@IonicCaplsym Yes, it can - it can do RDP and Citrix, IIRC. (I've actually tried out the RDP functionality, too.)

I like the "Apple 2Gs" in the background. Apparently i'm not the only one who hears IIIgs whenever the iPhone 3Gs is mentioned. ;D

pretty impressed wit the improvement from to my t5725.
Now seems that HP joined a really OS solution, mine with sarge wasn't that so great.
Since it is a ARM, what about the power consume in idle/Full, call you tell?

I'm surprised they give you a built-in speaker in that little thing!
I have that same IBM mouse with the blue scroll button.
