You need physical capabilities to win in Paintball, and there's a win or lose scoring system. Paintball has all the goes to be labeled as a sport. Tho it cost continues of money, so it might not be a sport.

If you stretched the definition of "sport", you could include anything from competitive channel changing, skeeball, air hockey, thumb wrestling, and hell, even "stare contests" could be a sport.

My definition of a "sport" is simple. For every 1 hour of competitive playing, it should take you 40 hours of practice. Most paintball players haven't spent 40 hours on the field yet.

At the upper levels of competitive play, sure it's a sport. At the recball level... not so much
