Their personalities are all different. Some are playful, some just want to snuggle, and some only want to go about their business and don't really want to be bothered. The more attention you give them the better socialized they will become.
Some will bite, but thats not their primary defense. If they bite its usually just because they think you smell or taste interesting. It does not necessarily mean that they are actually *trying* to hurt you. Sometimes they just get excited and latch on without realizing that theyre hurting you. If they do you should not immediately set them down because they may learn to associate biting with being put down and it could become a habit (I want to be set down, so Ill bite you to get my way).
Instead, blow air toward their noses (quickly and hard). This does *not* hurt them, but they dont like it and it will usually help teach them that biting is not acceptable.
Keep in mind that there are always exceptions to the rules. What works for one may not work well for another.
I think they're the best pets ever, but they're not right for everyone.

Its so cute ^^ Eh.. i need to buy one again i had my other one for a great amount of time befor he passed on... we had fun in the process though taking him outside was the funnest and when we'd play hind n seek id know where to find him XD under the couch :p

let it get usto your smell 1st. and when it bites you dont pull away or it wont let go as easly.
also if u are trying to pick him/her up right after you woke them up it could be grumpy. hence the biting and hissing
