I pray your scales on your eyes fall off of you. Do you know how many times you mentions joe smith instead of Jesus? the book of abraham was proven to be a fraud
Well duh! Gee, when I talk about the Greek of Matthew chapter 5, I just betcha I mention Jesus more times! Imagine that! If I was talking about auto mechanics, I probably wouldn't mention Jesus at all. SHOCK! Is this proof cars are evil?! When I study Chess, I probably mention Alexander Alekhine more than Jesus! Goodness, I wonder why that would be?
I would find it interesting to know your credentials to comment on these papyri or the historical interpretations set forth here or whether you rest entirely on John Gee's credentials to back up your hypotheses?
the idea of Hebrew Indians was written about in 1825 "The Views Of the Hebrews" by Nathan Smith It Parallels with the Book of Mormon written by Joseph Smith.
Your statement that J smith was inspired without any prior argument existing in Smith's time is false. See "The Views of the Hebrews" by Nathan Smith, it talks all about hebrew Indians and predates J Smith version by a few years. amazing coincidence ?
Yeah and the mācuahuitl is the book of mormon sword. You kinda missed the whole line about "a sword out of steel." These are the kind of arguments you get from people who say "here are the facts, what evidence can we find to suport it?" This is probably why thebackyardprofessor is not a classroom professor.
According to the theological definition of the term, a cult is a group that denies essential biblical doctrine while claiming to be Christian or in harmony with true Christianity. While Mormons claim to be members of the one true Christian church, they deny historic and essential Christian doctrines; therefore, evangelical Christians do, indeed, consider it a cult of Christianity.
"ChadandBarby is simple listening to what he read from other, and uninspired, men(and or women)."
as if Joe Smith & his fake history was "inspired", if any of the BoM or BoA were true, you would find museums full of artifacts, but alas, this fake book don't come w/ real histories cause, unlike Harry Turtledove, Smith did not do enough research to at least base his books on real anchor points
There are plenty of evidences that have been brought forth for the authenticity of the BOM, archaelogical and otherwise.
I can tell that you are also uneducated on the old DNA debate and what the book of Mormon actually claims. Perhaps you should do some homework before dismissing all simply because of anti-mormon bias.
Don't be afraid of truth, come from whence it may.
your really grasping at straws mate. Lots of words but very little content. it still doesn't wash when what is said in the PoGP is different from what is really written on the papyri bottom line

don't matter to the LDS, truth is a relative process to them, you pray & if your bosom burns, then its true, no matter the evidence against
can you go into more detail about why these guys are really talking about the moon, the earth and the sun and the light of Kolob. Found in Chapter 3 of book of abraham?

You seem like a real pleasant fellow. Its a shame you are doomed to persist in the delusion that is the mormon church.

No I'm not grasping at straws. It is valid Egyptological and Egyptian materials and ideas that are in those facsimiles.

so, are you saying that anyone that knows how to translate ancient Egyptian would translate the facsimiles exactly as you propose?
or would they find the "Book of Breathings" section of the common ancient Egyptian "Book of the Dead"?
have you presented your findings at any major Egyptology symposium yet? or have they always shown you the door?

& why not? if you are correct, it would blow them out of the water, just like Daniel Jackson did & SG command when he translated the gate's cover

Sure. Since I am now in the process of discussing all three facsimiles in detail, I could and will certain deal with this also. Thanks for asking!
