I don't think I understand. What he seems to be saying is that there's no marriage without a guardian, and that Christians and Jews cannot be guardians, but you can have a marriage with them anyway? Or have I misunderstood?

You can not take Jews and Christians are your "Protecters/Guardians".

There is no marriage without guardian: means its not just about girl and a boy, but there should be guardians' permission required in order to marry.

muslims shouldnt take them as guardians not as friends. like in europe if ur not christian u cant be leader. hes saying the word means guardian and not friend.

He used the marriage example to explain the meaning of the word "Wali". In the quran it says dont take jews and christians as Awlia (plural for Wali) which in english was wrongly translated to Friends. He said it does not mean friends, and best example is "No marriage can be done without a wali (gaurdian). He explains here that Wali means Protector/Guradian. The verse says: don't take (depend on) jews and christians to be ur protectors/supportors, for they will protect/support each other.

When a Muslim marries a Christian, they are in effect marrying a Christian. Now, what I mean by this is that a Christian can not be a Christian unless they believe in all of the bible (resurrection, easter, christmas, and whatever pagen stuff),

I was just reading the Koran, not but a few hours ago, and it said that, "Unclean men are for unclean women, and unclean women are for unclean men. But, believing women are for believing men and believing men are for believing women."

Or, something along those lines.

reay without knowledge of the arabic lanugage and i mean real knowledge(cause for expample 4 love who have more then a dozen ways to say in arabic) there is no option or possibility for u to translate or interpret any word of the quran.
