this is excellent,.....there's nothing like the analog synthesizers,.....like the ARP 2500 and 2600......I saw ELP in the 70s and he had one similar to this one.....
Brilliant glimpse into the past. Have a K/Board I bought just for percussion that would've been considered witchcraft back then. How far can sonics go? I wish I was younger and I could grow up with the new tech.Like Doc.Razz, I hate it when musicians purport to be magicians and the crowd fawns.De-mystifying is the key....
wondering why he doesn't just use a Minimoog. That's why they made it, so they wouldn't have to haul this thing around. But you can't argue with the sound of the modular!
Damn! Even one osc sounds fat as hell! I'm sure the 300K sound system.
doesn't hurt.
Would have loved to hear some bass on that beast. great video!
I saw Emerson and Lake in LA at the Orpheum Theatre about 8 or 9 months ago. He had this damn thing on stage that night. What a great flashback that was to see it live again.
@squierplayer Not directly, but early electronic music and early synthesizers and sequencers did play a major role in the later techno/house and other recent electronic/dance genres.
I saw the show in Milwaukee. It was fabulous to see the guys and it appeared that they were having fun. Greg gave me his guitar pick after playing Lucky Man which made my day. I am 56 years old and I recently took up the guitar and the 1st song that I learned was Lucky Man so it was really cool timing. That pick is in a frame now. Thanks Greg for the gesture and thank you both for a really enjoyable show.
LOL great Spinal Tap impression :)
