look.. i guess if u are a bigginer this video is ok but cmon the acting and all u had to do was fall down convincingly and u messed that up. if you want to make it look real be prepared to injure yourself a bit in the process. also to make the prop lightsaber's blade go away u have to do a tripod shot of the exact same scene, one with u in it and one without. that way wen u turn off the saber you can layer the shot without behind the shot with u guys and erase the blade and the blades wont show.

nothing XD, this is the main function masking. it cuts everything out but the selected part. then you need a new backround where the mask should get on. watch a tutorial ;)

its not a specific effects, its just a trick: i copied the scene a few times and reduced the opacity of all cuts except the main cut. then i put them in different layers, but with a litle time-difference.

no, vegas 8 pro is pretty expensive. but there is vegas 9 or platinum as an alternative, if you dont want to spend much money. but i recommend it, especially if u have a good pc.

you cant combine these two programs, here's what i did: 1. import video-clip, one by one (it were about 50 clips, i think...) into PL. then edit it there (rotoscoping).

2. export from PL and import to Vegas, to put all clips together there and insert some other effects (like text, music or divide into 3 parts etc...)

you should take the time to make some of the fire better looking. It doesn't look so real. I def like the vid through and through. That's how I want to make vids. Except I have a different approach to the teleportation thing then you. Major kudos man. I did notice that the lightsaber went off at one point that looked like it shouldn't.
