This is one of the greatest game i've played so far on the psp, and trust me i've played lots of games not just on the psp, I also got ps3 and 360... i put in at least 30 hrs on this game compared to bigger gamer such as halo reach which i only played for 3hrs and never played it again.

I'm surprised people were disappointed with the ending. I thought it was pretty fitting and sweet. Then again, I could just be enamored with how great the game was to begin with. In my Top 5 of 2010, without a doubt. :)

Hope they make a Ys 8. The ending was a disappointment. But I hope Ys 8(soon) has the same battle system with a better ending... Geez... I hate sad endings.

@SeasonalSimpsons Well I still have yet to beat the game, but if Y's VIII is going to be released, I can probably tell you with absolute confidence that it'll have the same battle system, but an entirely different storyline.. which what makes this game epic!

I didn't like ys chronicles on the DS but this story is an original ys story and I preordered the limited edition of this. Unfortunately, when it comes out, I'll be going back to school so, I'll have to find time for this rpg beauty in my freetime.

@yaoilovertash I can't believe you don't consider the Ys I & II for the DS as an original Ys Story. They're almost perfect remakes of the original Ys I & II for the Turbografx!

Though I do admit it was pretty terrible on the DS... the controls were absolute crap...

on another note, while I don't think the animation is too bad, it's not as good as Felghana's or Origins. But here's to hoping when falcom releases a PC version (If they don't, BLASPHEMY) they redo the animation, or make it, without all the moving parts, cause in my opinion, it DOES make it seem like they were being lazy.
