Dit is inderdaad een historisch moment.

Proficiat Alexander, en hopelijk beseffen nu de flauwe grappenmakers uiteindelijk dat ze gewoon jaloers zijn op jouw immense muzikale gave. Vanaf jouw negen jaar speelde je al klassiek viool op een niveau waar volwassenen nooit geraken. Je bent ook een enorme innemende persoonlijkheid. Noorwegen verwen deze man, waar we hopelijk nog héél veel van gaan horen en zien.

Alexander is sooo good on violin. He has played it since he was 4. He has classical education from Barrat-Due Music Institute in Oslo (Bachelor this year).

His father is a violinist, and his mother pianist, so he has the music "in his blood"! :-)

Seems that he is popular in Holland, and that's so nice!

yeah he is also a singer.

but ehm. He don't has shows/concerts or something. He sings in his show and did a few concerts in a very big stadion. but normally he only sings in his program I think. and he has a lot of cd's. (sorry for my weird english, I hope you understand)

He doesn't know the song, it's Dutch and not known in Norway. I had never heard it before either, he's improvising. (nothing else is possible by that days timeschedule either) You must know that Alexander is extreamly talented on bouth violin and piano, and he's a highly educated classical violinist. If all the leading elderly classic musicians in a country like Norway knows a violinplayer by name before he's 12, then it's a huge talent. His father is also a very talented and known violinist.

i believe that he has talent and i like him very much.But it dont look like he was improvising.

Then what should it look like? He listens to the song and if you have studied an instrument for a very long time and played many songs, you hear a melody and are able to play along without knowing it. Besides, earlier in the show the band was playing some background music and he listened and then started playing along too. When my sister improvises, she does it exactly the same way.

yes, he was improvising. Paul de Leeuw asked if he knew a certain song and he didn't... then he asked Alex if he could try to play along a bit on the violin... and it turned out not to be just a "bit"! What a huge talent Alex has, to improvise just like that! Even the pianist (Cor Bakker) was very impressed. :) It was great!
