I am a Christian and I find it hard to believe that God had a son. I think that this is widely misinterpreted, because Jesus saw God as the Father (creator) and since he was a creation of the Father, you could say that he is a son (creation) of God and consequently you could say that all people are sons (creations) of the Father. I think what Jesus meant was that he was the only one worthy to be called the son of God, since he lived a perfect life. What are your opinions on this?

My opinion is that Jesus (pbuh) was messenger chosen by God to guide the Children of Israel. God sent many messangers from time to time inorder to guide mankind, to bring them from darkness to light and the final messenger is Muhammad (pbuh) sent by God as a Universal messenger to the whole of humanity and Jinns etc, not for a particular group of ppl such as the Children of israel. Both of them indeed led perfect lives. As for son, how does Jesus become the exclusive son of God? In what aspect?
