they sure reacted in a classy way to missing a medal. she even shusshes the audience for booing (they were clearly booing the judges for not giving them a medal). unbelievably classy--she must have been sick about it.

Absolutely right...very classy handling of being screwed out of a medal. I guess the international judges still can't accept that another country other than Russia can have more than one team on the ice dance podium. This was the most polished performance of the evening and deserving of a medal.

There are three phases of the ice dancing competition. Far too often there is little change in the standings after the CD. To the general public it appears the judges have already made up their minds after the first round. What is the point of outskating the pair above you if your placement has no chance of changing. The current system should have made that possible. Things appear to be more of the same.

The judges were insane or blind. This is a stunning, beautiful and difficult dance. Watch Virtue and Moir's FD. They did not have the difficulty as Meryl and Charile, and they fell out of the final lift. Not to mention their OD was a dsiater.

you are insane. V&M's lacking dificulty? You think D&W had a more difficult program because they made it LOOK difficult. V&M had as much transitional turns and linking steps as any of the top teams.

Actually if you look at the scores, Davis and White's program had the highest technical marks out of the whole event.

Actually the technical marks reflect required elements and its execution, not program difficulty. Difficulty is shown in the Linking Footwork/Movement category in the PCS: the amount/difficulty of turns, steps, variation in footwork, multi-directional skating, changes in edgework, variety of holds etc...And V&M had a higher score.

I agree. VM should have been the overall winners, while DW came maybe 1st in free and 2nd overall. The actual top two teams were so overrated...

the real result would be this:
1st or 2nd Davis/White or Virtue/Moir, I can't decide it because they were great and I love them.
3rd Kerr-Kerrr
4th Pechalat-Bourzat.
There are many couples who were robbed, but Meryl and Charlie deserved at least the silver.

Yes, this video only has pieces of their performance. They cut out the first lift, arguably one of the best and most impressive parts! Not to mention, the beauty of this dance is in the way it builds.

How heartbreaking it was that they just missed the medal...I personally think they should have scored higher in FD. I will always remember their sublime performance in LA for my life. I will never forget it.
