  • Great Video. The pic at 3:27 was taken right at the front of our house. The fire got to within 100 meters and was coming straight at us, then the wind changed. All credit has to go to the fire fighters who did such an awesome job in such overwhelming and extreme conditions.

  • sad but nicely put together cupid and song is perfect

  • this vid is going to make me cry 5/5

  • I live right near these fires, my friends died in it.

It was started by arson, no-one could have stopped it at the time, all we need to do is catch the criminal.

  • yeh i hope they find him to chop his head off and all his other body parts and feed them to the dogs thats just a sad thing the victorian bushfires

  • thats sad ur friends died

  • I am a sydney aussie and found this video very well done, well presentented and shows the courage of our aussie firefighters no matter what part of australia they come from the firefighters came from all staes to relieve the victorian fire fighters when it was clear it wasnt going to be a one day job,and as a sidenote,if you play secondlife

club katmandu has a tipjar in the club raiseing funds for the red cross to help the victims,

  • Beautiful music!

Who is the singer and what is the song called?

Regards from OzzInter from Vic, Aust.

  • Hi Ozz.......I agree with you on the music, the song's called "Angels Wings" by Marisa :)

  • GOODJOB!!! THEY DESERVE IT!!

  • Your right, the victims deserve all the help they can get.........the charity organisations are doing a good job.

  • RIP for the ones who have died and hope that the fires are under control soon :(

  • its not over yet, this can happen to any town that is near or in the bush, its a very big threat and you can blame it all on the the greenie for not letting us back burn, clearing or manage the forrests to stop this from happening.

  • You know nothing. It was the lack of funds that eased Prescribed buring not the Greens.

  • your the 16 year old that knows nothen mate,i have lived a lot longer then most of the poeple putting comments on ytube and have lived through Ash Wednesday ,which was also caused by lack of bush managment .

  • I'm a tad older than 16 but thanks I'll take that as a compliment. It will all come out in the Royal Commission and what will be discovered will indeed be the lack of forward thinking by Governments. The Aborigines managed the land a lot better and not the Government. Its fact the bush needs a burn once and a while to regenerate and without a burn some plants won't sporn but if we insist on living amongst the trees then we must build houses that can handle a fire. Better management is needed.

  • The aborigines caused this country to be covered by dessert, they did a horrible job of managing it. But I agree the government should have a much better system then "stay and fight". Alot of people died because of this.

  • ... seriously are you slighty retarded. I'm not a fan of the abo's especially with at the majority have become but for a people of so few to create a desert so large makes no sense, especially since the flora and fauna that lives there has clearly been there for 100s of thousands of years

  • Lack of funds my arse, the cost of prescribed burnig doesn't cost that much when you have cfa volunteers and dse workers doing the burns so to me that leaves one group to blame. By the way, nice vid, very heart felt.

  • Great vid and at least you posted some images of the wildlife who no one gives a shit about. If you did not loose a loved one and only your house then you did ok, you will rebuild and you will actually be better off as the Australian public and Gov has so far donated enough to see your looked after. Lets stop the bickering and help those that cant be helped as the fires are still burning killing everything it its path, the wildlife. The CFA are letting the bush burn.

  • this is to the comment below me. SHUT UP! atleast she made a video.

  • Look this is all very touching, but I notice you've used images made by very classy photographers for news organisations. In fact I was looking at these award winning photos a couple of days ago. It strikes me as a bit feeble that you don't even CREDIT the photographers. You just put sappy music on and claim it as your own work of art.

As a bushfire appeal, I much prefer JuanMann's heartfelt plea that he did himself to camera.

  • Most of these images were sent via email by friends. I created this clip to raise awareness and provide info about how to donate to help the victims.

I did not put my usual "tag" at the end as I've done with all my other vids, and do not categorize it as my "work of art".

Many of these photos I've seen repeated in other clips, yet your comments seem to be directed at only mine?

Anyhow, you seem to have totally missed the objective of the clip overall...........sigh.

  • what the fuck. People are dying and it made it on youtube. 3 of my family died in this fire and lots of other people have died. What for so that a Video of the fire can be made and posted on youtube so people car watch and say i wish i could help. I heard it all before. So stop fucking posting this sad event. Get a fucking life losers and post happy things.

  • I'm sorry for your loss. Again, this clip was created to raise awareness towards the appeals.

I usually do post happy things......

  • Im sorry for going off its just hard to see all those pictures, But it's a very touching video, great job Cupidx0x

  • Very moving and touching. Ignore comments like the ones below. The bushfires are a tragedy but seriously I see no significance in a comment like turn this into a religious appeal. A beautiful thought provoking clip. Thank You.

  • I was not being insensitive. Everyone should benefit from heart. Not just those who respond to "prayers".

  • I think this comment is alittle off the track.

  • I don't think that I've turned this into a religious appeal. I myself am not extremely religious.

Prayers = Thoughts and awareness of lost oved ones, including children......of people who have lost everything, of the wildlife and stock.......but most of all, of the suffering this has bought to so many.

So, yes.......my prayers are with them.

  • This really does touch my hearT!!!!!

im terrified of fire so id hate to think how people felt

well r.i.p everyone who died nd hope everything will be bk to normal fast

  • Hang in there, we'll get through it as a nation of mates. We will all help.

  • these pics really brings this into reality

  • great work thank you luv!!!

  • 5 *****

  • I think this is very good with out music. If you upload this again please leave this one up. This is very powerfull and moving.
