well thank you for the wealth of the knows. like fred said, knowledge is power. not to get too greedy, but you wouldn't happen to know of any particularly diminished triad laden works would you? maybe with a few minors here and there. i have listened to what seems like days of bach and can't find it. i new what it was called over 20 years ago. thc...what are you gonna do, right?

when i was a younger lad in music class, i heard an organ piece by bach that was very dark, like this (but not this). it was also not tocatta and fugue. how many dark almost metal sounding organ pieces does he have? are they all close in 'BWV' numbers? or were they all scattered? the numbering of his songs is done in the order he wrote them, right?

@dilaudud Bachs Werke Verzeichnis catalog is arranged by genre. It is a thematical catalogue: choral works first, then organ works, then other keyboard works, and so on; hence, a low BWV number does not necessarily indicate an early work. For a chronological listing, they exists only in groups as far as I know, such as one for cantatas one for organ works, etc.

I love this...except for the staccato chords near the end. The chords should be held longer, because this is the climax, the most dramatic part of the piece.

Notre-Dame-des-Neiges church,

in Alpe d'Huez, France.

Complimenti. Il Preludio esprime la vera idea musicale nascosta tra le note. La Fuga idem. Quasi un'azzardo è il cambio di registri in una fuga... che come le voci in un coro ogni voce parla sull'altra senza cambiare mai timbro, ma bene ugualmente. Se mi posso permettere gli accordi tienili di più di modo che siano più maestosi.

Professionals in any field value feedback, positive and negative. Of course, not all feedback is well-founded. Consider what critics have said about music and musicians over the centuries! Or what teachers say to their students! All one can do is listen to what is being said, assess its, and then decide what is worth taking on board. I'm sure composersan does that.

it's not a matter of positive or negtaive feedback, it's about manners. Still you bring a good point: there are professionals who rely on their experience, skill and knowledge to put people down and insult or mock them instead of making a constructive comment.

You should play it a bit slower, in order to prevent mistakes.

You played too much sttaccato between the pedal entry in the fugue and the last manual solo.

Suona su un organo di scuola Schnitger o Silbermann e solo allora conoscerai il vero suono Barocco...

Giusto; Guillou incarna l'esatto opposto del barocco. Comunque, mi sembra che il ragazzo si sia comportato bene sia come tecnica che come registrazione (solo un ripieno qui avrebbe fatto letteralmente schifo; conosciamo tutti i ripieni di Cavaillé-Coll).
