Actually, same profile as the "L" model of the Morane Saulnier. The major difference is strut-braced instead of wire braced. I had enough of wire bracing in my Taube replica. Never again.
We also don't use wing-warping (horrors!!) like the original Morane used. That's just waaay too much excitement for me. Since most people at a fly-in or air show ask me if it's a SPAD, it's not that big a deal. It looks "kinda" like a Morane "L". That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I've got the book, "Building and flying hte planes for those magnificent Men And Their Flying Machines. When talking about the wing warping on the Antoinette, the author said, "It was more like a friendly arrangement between the plane and the pilot, He tried to get the plane ina position where it "might" do what he wanted it to." Didn't always work either.
Very cool- Nice flying, too.

This is not a Morane Saulnier. It is just a homebuild aircraft. Very nice one too.

What are the problems with wire bracing?

#1. Don't like it.
#2. Pain in the rear to rig and unrig for air shows.
#3. Lots less drag with the struts.
#4. The top king post would have made the plane 3 feet taller with no way to get to it when putting it together and taking it apart.
#5. Since later models of Morane fighters were strut braced, I'm calling this a "L" Parasol BIS.
However, as I've told other people at Air Shows and fly ins, they are certainly welcome to build THEIR plane with the wire bracing.

I had a buddy who did have a write replica with wing warping, and he said it was a terrifying thing to work.
